I have had the REOMIZER for about two weeks and I think it is fantastic. It is hard to imagine getting better performance from an atomizer. However, as always, my curiosity overwhelms me. Besides the A7 and the Phoenix I don't have much to compare it to. So I am asking those who have both the Chalice and Rob's rba to compare their performance. Bear in mind I'm not one who cares a lot about appearance even though I think the REOMIZER looks great. I'm interested in the vape experience only. I think the Chalice is over priced and of course almost impossible to get. But it does appear to be the standard for bottom fed rebuildables. IS IT WORTH IT?

Not sure if I'd consider the Chalice to be the standard Ray since the ERA was the first and the most available of the 2 and since I don't own the Chalice so I can't comment on its comparison to the Reomizer but I do own a couple of ERA's and have since replaced the 1 on my VVG with the Reomizer and I'd say there really isn't a difference that i can tell. Both are performing the same and I really like the fact that the Reomizer has both post on the outer edge gives you tons of room for lots of wraps. In conclusion I don't think I'll ever buy a Chalice based on it being EXTREMELY overpriced (since I can get the ERA for half what a Chalice costs) and not sure if I'll ever buy another ERA since the Reomizer is almost half of the ERA but since the Reomizer doesn't fit the Mini or Mini2.0 I am purchasing a couple of Hornets (made by the ERA folks) and a Surface rba for those devices! Just my 2cents:D

I have both, and I'll try to compare the two. They both vape the same. They are very similar in size, but the Chalice is a little smaller in diameter so I can use it on more of my REOs. It'll fit in some of the woodvil cups that neither the REOmizer nor the ERA will fit in. The BIGGEST difference (and not a deal breaker, but a really nice thing....not worth an extra $110 to get, though) is that the bottom of the Chalice is slanted down (like a swimming pool slants down in the middle to the drain hole) where the REOmizer (and the ERA for that matter) are flat. That means that the Chalice drains any excess juice back down the feed hole and into the bottle almost instantly. The others don't. Therefore, the Chalice is NEVER ever messy. There's never any leftover juice in the Chalice or in the catch cup no matter how much you might over-squonk. The others CAN have leftover juice around if you over-squonk. Every now and then I'll have a drop of juice show up around my catch cup because I've over-squonked one of the non-Chalice attys.

As far as taste, vapor, ease of set-up, etc. I find no difference among the gang (Chalice, ERA, A7, and REOmizer) EXCEPT that of the four, the ERA posts are closest together and are harder to get a coil to fit. Of the four mentioned above, the REOmizer has it's posts farthest apart. That's a good thing, to me. I can make coils with much higher ohms (more wraps) fit into the REOmizer because there's really a lot of space. I love that.

The screws on all of them are different. The Chalice has flathead (tiny) screws; the ERA has hex screws, the A7 has really big (easy to see) Phillips head screws, and the REOmizer has tiny little Phillips head screws....tiny, tiny, tiny little screws. Argggh.

Of the four, the Chalice is my favorite, and the the A7 is my least favorite (because it's so tall....and because it sometimes gurgles a little). I paid only $20 for the A7, so it was a bargain. I paid a fortune for the Chalice ($150) and I'm glad I have one, but won't be acquiring an arsonal :); and the ERAs were from two different co-ops and ranged from $55 - $72 each. For the money, the REOmizer is the best bargain. It vapes as well as any of them and better than some, it's easy to set up, it's affordable, and it's cute.

I guess this is more than you asked for, but hey....

EDIT: Wanted to add that this is just my personal opinion, you understand. YMMV :)

Excellent review & comparison JC Okie... Thank you. I have been eyeing the chalice for a while now. I wanted to know the differences between all the rebuildables for Reos from someone who had all of them. I have two Reomizers so I guess I made a good choice. Also, I believe that the Reomizer blows away any other atomizer I have ever tried. I hope to see the economy part of not spending $9 for an atty soon too. Then maybe I can afford a woodvil when they are available again. Thank you again.

Hell, I'll sell ya a woodpile. It's already cut, split and available. (Pick-up only, no delivery... hope you own a truck.)

Thanks, and YES....any rebuildable I've ever tried blows away any standard atty I've ever tried.....and I've tried a LOT! Until I got into the rebuildables, I was an HH-357 girl. I think rebuildables are revolutionary. I know I'll never buy another standard atty..... The secret to making this economical for me, though, is to stop buying every new rebuildable that comes out!!! :)

Thank you for your kind and informative reply.

It looks like I'll stick with Rob's RBA. If the vape is the same why spend $150.
