You can now also get the Stardust with replaceable heads. (and I hope replacement tanks)

@tj99959 If you're gonna replace the head and the tank you may as well just get a new stardust every few weeks :)

Why get a new 7$ stardust when you can get a 3$ head for it?

IMO a stardust needs to last as long as a box of cartos to be cost effective. Used in a carto tank a $1.50 carto lasts "every few weeks".

The new Vision eGo clearomizers (Vision Ego 2.0 Clearomizers, Vision clearomizers, Vision Newest.) are awesome. Similar configuration to the Vivi Nova but in a smaller form factor and they look like the GotVapes Stardust.

The head you are trying to replace on the version of the stardust you have is not replaceable --- you can mod these that is about it. If you want the replaceable head you need the one referenced by tj99959.

Some of this stuff can be very confusing as the original Stardust was released 3 times, v1, v2 and v3 (as explained in this youtube video A PBusardo Rant & Review - Vision eGo Clearomizer V3 (long wick) - SnG Vapor - YouTube)

The new Vision eGo clearomizers is essentially a new product and the only thing about that it has in common to the 'Stardust' V3 is the size/shape, tip, silicone cap and cone.

Even though I have not yet rebuilt one of these with nichrome and wick, if this process works out you can rebuild one for pennies as wick and nichrome are fairly inexpensive products. IMO doing this will be significantly cheaper cost wise than purchasing the replaceable heads. The new clearomizers are easy to clean and should be easy to rebuild. In my estimation, 4 wraps of 34 awg nichrome should yield approx resistance of 2.4 - 2.6 ohms

Where did you find that replaceable head Stardust? Ive been trying to open up my V2 visions with a pair of pliers but after breaking the first two I gave up. :(

I got mine from Clouds of Vapor yesterday. Grabbed 5, filled them all up, and all of them work perfectly out of the box. I've never used any of the other version, but I've heard that that's not always the case. They come apart just as you'd expect and seem pretty solid all around. A few people at a South Florida meet had issues with them not firing on some Ego Twists, and when I had the same thing happen, I found that they can be pulled back from fully screwed on about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn and work without flaw. No such issue on some other people's twists or any of my kgo batteries.

true ... but I have been successful at making my stardust last about 3 weeks ... there really easy to clean.

however, If you like stardusts, I find the ViVi Nova very cost effective ... 2.99 a head and they are great tanks ... in my opinion, I know some folks have had issues ...

I am really discouraged! I have been looking for a version that works for more than a few days time! I have tried the Ego Clearomizers and they only worked about a week for me using 100% VG juice (allergic to PG). Sooooo I tried some of the CE4s that have the replaceable coils because I liked vaping this type of clearomizer. I got them and the darn coil lasted 1 day before pooping out. I lost 3 coils in less than a week.

I also got the Vivi Nova system which I absolutely loved. I was in vaping heaven and thought Oh Boy I have found my answer to my problems. I vaped the system for 3 days and on the third fill something crazy happens. I take the top off the tank to refill it and somehow the whole tank comes off instead of the top. OK I figured I did something wrong. I have been babying this system due to prior problems.

I refill it and it starts acting funny. I start getting juice in my mouth. I try to take it off the battery and it falls apart. I look and the whole top of the tank that screws on has snapped off the tank. Now I am a very small woman who does not have a lot of strength in her hands and I know that I have not screwed the darn thing on too tight to begin with so I am scratching my head at this one. OK yeah it was probably another DUD?????

WTH is going on here????? I was told the coils were probably duds and I am getting a replacement from the vendor. BUT the tank snapping off at the top???? What the heck is going on with the quality of the equipment that we are getting? I know good and well I am taking care of my stuff. I do not abuse it. There should be no darn reason my equipment should be failing left and right. I am tired of spending good money after bad here. I don't know what the answer is.

I have already ordered more Vivi tank systems prior to my tank episode and I am praying like mad that these are better quality but right now I really don't know what to think about the whole fiasco. WTH am I supposed to do here?

So you tried the CE4s, now try the Visions version 2 eGo clearomizers .... I have been using the same one for 6 days now (cleaned, different types of juices) and it is still vaping like a champ. Best clearo I have ever used. Available here Vision 2.0 Replaceable eGo Clearomizer

Pardon my ignorance and my skepticism but due to my bad experiences, what makes this replaceable coil so much better than the ones that I tried in the past Tom?

I am not ready to give up the ghost but after spending over $50 in cash for equipment that I have had to toss in the trash, I am a bit leery of just ordering more stuff without a clear explanation of what the difference is.
    Thanks!

Okay and fair enough response. So you tired the Vivi Nova correct? If so, it seems that your experience with them was pretty good until all %$#&&^ hit the fan. So maybe you need something that is easier to handle and has the same performance as the Nova. The clearos I refer to are from the same manufacturer and are basically the same as the Nova but in a smaller form factor. IMO, the Vision version 2 eGo clearos are way better than any version of the large capacity tank Vivi Nova. I can't comment on the CE4 (which I do believe are a product from Kanger) but the coil should last for more than a few days (3 in your case). Maybe the problem here is the 100% VG juice being used on a LR type atomizer head. If the resistance is lower than 2.8 ohms that might be the reason the coil is burning out within a few days (just a thought and just guessing about this as I don't vape 100% VG)

All you need to start using them is the base unit and a few the Vision 2.0 Clearomizer Replacement Atomizer Head. Since you only vape 100% VG, I suggest the 2.8 ohm replacement head.

Hope this helps and vape on!

I agree with Tom, the new Vision 2.0 clearos are pretty sweet, better production quality, vape really well, and easy to maintain.

Starchild47, it's unfortunate you had a bad experience with the ViVi, I've had no probs, been using for a while, you prolly had a lemon, which I agree sucks.

I think the bigger issue is that a lot of these devices have poor QA and to many bad ones get there - 'cause if you get a good one - it's good!

But, like I said in my vid, I prefer the Stardust overall.

    Good luck!

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain and helping me to understand what the issue possibly is. It is very frustrating to have this going on and only get an explanation of "I probably got some duds" before from the vendor when asking what was going on.

I will give these a try as I really want to find a good system that works for me.
    Thanks again

@Starchild47 sorry to hear of your troubles with the Vivi Nova, sounds like you got
one made on a Monday or a Friday :) I had a few of the V2 and V2.5 models and
have yet to leak a drop after dozens of refills.

I am NOT small or a woman, and have dropped mine, stuffed them in pockets, generally
treated them as I would any of my equipment. Good luck on getting your new ones
with better QA in the e-cig equipment crap-shoot.....
