compatible juices?

There is a store in my city that sells e-juice but says that it is only compatible with the cartridge style ecig and names a specific ecig that it is compatible with. That being the GAMUCCI E-CIGS.. Is this entirely true that it can only be compatible with that particular ecig? or are they pretty much just saying that to up-sell their specific e cigs?
