Not thread hi-jacking as I intend to participate in this competition soon, but is it normal that I change my cotton wick almost everyday? I am using 28g micro with 8 wraps and unflavored 12mg/with some menthol. Maybe it's they way I dry burn and clean my coil? Any advice? I do notice that my cotton lasts longer on a newly built coil, but only a day on a dry-burned one.

Thanks! I can donate an extra 5 cotton balls for the top price since I kinda intruded! :toast:

I rewick each evening before bed so I hae a fresh wick each morning. It's not uncommon......at least to me. I use unflavored sometimes, but most often a brown tobacco bland, so I rewick each day. After teh dry burn, wait 60 seconds before inserting a new cotton wick, otherwise, the hot coil will start to scorch the wick a bit.

Yes, and I think I like it. When I'm not travelling as much I'll try more side by side comparisons. This is a 1.2 ohm coil with 29 gauge kanthal and I'm getting more flavor.

I don't got for photo perfect coils, and I found I like a little gap also. Especially for cotton...since this contest would need to be in "hours" not "days" for me to compete. A little spacing helps me keep the center wet since I lack patience and often forget to let it wick properly.
