I hated that era tremendously. Hammer made it hard to get girls in Miami when I was in my late teens. Before him, it was the Latin lover scene and I couldn't get nuthin during that time either.

The struggle was real.

Now when I see these I can still smell Kourus cologne:

Many lambs and calves I ate I had given names to and some were so full of personality and fun it was pretty upsetting when it came time to slaughter them

Remembered when I was a kid, I visited my grandma - she had few pigs on the backyard.
One of them was my favorite. I gave it a name and considered it to be my pet.
Once my parents went to pick me up for the next school year.
We've had a nice lunch with some tender pork meat.
I picked my things and went to say bye to grandma and my pet friend.

    - where are you going? - asked grandma
    - I'll say good bye to *pet name*
    - Oh ... you already did, hon.
    - But ... when?
    - During the lunch, hon.

If anyone ever saw those memes depicting how our generation survived childhood, like this:

    original-23334-1440462646-4.jpg

These memes never fully tell the truth. What about stuff like eating your pet pig? Long road trips where both parents smoked with the windows rolled up with Al Green on the radio? Our parents were also the generation that didn't believe in discretion when they had sex either.

I firmly believe the words, "Honey, the kids might hear", were created by Generation X.

Sorry for going off on a tangent there.

Cows WANT to be milked. Those udders get heavy.
Sure, it's all very well for the ladies, but what about the boys?
I grew up on a farm, because of the location we grew most of our vegetables and got our milk directly from the dairy farm next door. We always had a "pet" on the go getting ready for slaughter. Many lambs and calves I ate I had given names to and some were so full of personality and fun it was pretty upsetting when it came time to slaughter them, which my step father did and made sure I was included in the activity.
We still raise our own beasties for consumption, I have done it all my life. I dont waste one bit.
You are made of sterner stuff than I, and I admire you for it. Lacking the strength (both physical and mental) to raise the animals I eat, I mitigate my guilt and self-loathing by getting almost all my meat from a local farm that treats its beasts well.

TBH I eat less meat now than I used to. I eat a lot more fish though. I go fishing about 2 times a week, generally have to stop off at the fish market on the way home and pick up something to eat though :D

Ironically it’s cheaper to do it that way by a factor of something like a thousand. That’s not really the point of fishing though as I am given to understand it.

One of my aunts husband was a fisherman of that kind. He was up to "fishing with pals" every weekend for sure and sometimes during a week as well. Was always telling he caught whatever he was bringing back from his fishing trips. No matter if it was fresh or frozen or even smoked sometimes. :thumb:
Last years he was not even taking the rods with him, just a bottle of something strong.

Thanks on behalf of those that don't judge people who enjoy doing vape tricks.

Shame on the rest of you.
Shame? If you had young children growing up in your house, would you do vape tricks everyday? Or would you do it discreetly and explain it's a bad habit that they shouldn't be doing? Vaping should be for harm reduction, not something that says, "hey this is cool , you should try it".

I am only not a big fan of competitions because I fear someone will blow themselves up.

I also don't quite understand how and when vaping became a competitive sport, but I don't think there is any turning back now.

I also feel pretty neutral-ish about folks that want to do it. I mean, do it safely and I don't much care. As LONG as there are NOT participation trophies, I'm sort of mildly fine with it.

I have no idea what this thread has turned into but I mainly wanted to comment on skinny jeans. NOT only are they the work of Satan many people who should NOT wear skinny jeans seem to do so, and it's just such an eyesore.

Worse than leg warmers. If you ask me.

I have a dangerous vape trick I've mastered where I blow a cloud to my right and fog out the wifey while she watches Wives with Knives on Investigation Discovery. I have also noticed when I pull this vape trick out on the kids while they are telling me something that they immediately stop. "Daddy I'm pregn.....", cloud in the face and it never happened.

Swat the Clouds used to be a fun game with the kids.
