Complete noob needs help...

My first ecigarette arrived today through mail.
It's a Prosmoke Deluxe Starting kit, with two batteries, an atomizer, a charging pack and 4 different packs of cartrideges (5 per pack), for a total of 130 $ (shipment included, I live in Europe).
I charged everything for 8 hours, and I just took my first hit.
The vapor is very realistic, but the throat hit is missing, which bothers me quite a lot. I just tried the tobacco cartridge (28 mg of nicotine, VG) for now.
Is there anything I can do to improve the feeling, or did I simply order the wrong ecigarette?

Its the VG my friend. It smooths it right out. although at 28mg you should still get that kick. I would definitely try some lower VG mixes. more PG. it will add to the flavor as well.

A low resistance atomizer/cartomizer would help too but you need 450 mHa or higher battery for high enough amperage to handle the wattage an LR would put out. I just checked the link and your not quite at the required amperage. I'm sure you dont want to go and buy another unit after shelling out that much dough.

Well, the reviews were all good, at least i don't think they were fake.
As you say, it might just be what's inside the cartridges, which are prefilled by the way.
What other cartridges could I buy that I can fill myself, since it seems they're cheaper and better, and that are compatible with the ecigarette I bought?

Where are you ordering juice from? I would look for something you feel you would like, get it 80/20 PG/VG. I'm not sure I would increase nicotine if doing this. Keep your current cartridges, just rinse them out, and refill with the liquid you get. The ones you have should last quite some time. If you prefer, you could take the filler out of the carts when your done with them, rinse the carts with hot water, and get some aquarium polyfil to put back. You just add your new juice and you are set to go.

I haven't ordered any juice yet, I just have my prefilled VG cartridges.
All I want is to get enough nicotine with the throat hit i'm used to with usual cigarettes.
I'll try that once I used a few cartridges. I'm also curious about the battery life and how long a cartridge will last.

I suggest you stick to your ecig for a while and try different PG/VG ratios. I think it's different for everyone. You guys agree?

Def the VG is making the throat hit lack....as for the cartredges you should try fluxomizers from gotvapes.com, Im using them now and notice that I'm getting more flavor and that it tastes soooo much cleaner and less burnt, if you can get the clear ones that would be great too easier filling because you can actually see how much liquid you have, and theres no polyfil, its wick fed.

hmm, i appreciate all your advices, but i guess i need some time to research all those things and make my mind up about that, there's so many different brands and names and systems, that it's hard to keep up!

is it at least compatible with my ecig? cos i keep reading about 510 series, and i've read somewhere here that i might have a m40x series...
