O, very true. Ecigs have defiantly come a long way in a relatively short time span..... IMO it's driven by everyone's desire for an safer way to quit cigarettes, and that's one H*** of a motivation.

I think ease of use, longer battery life, cost and quality are other major factors. Cost and quality run neck and neck. There were lower priced devices that came out, but the quality was poor, so the manufacturers had to come out with more devices when they discovered people were willing to pay more for something made better.

It's tough to beat a basic starter kit from a reputable manufacturer with a couple of pen-type batteries, tanks, and a charger. They're easy to use, reliable, and relatively inexpensive. The first couple of months will likely be spent kind of wandering around and getting a feel for how you like to vape, and what your tolerance is for tinkering with the gear. If/when you decide to move into more advanced equipment the starter stuff will be there as a backup.

Thank you all so far for all of the advice. I'm looking to see if there is a local shop around and if not, I'll just buy online. I've a couple of coworkers that do actually vape, I'll be talking to them as well. One has a pen type with a large tank. I don't think I'll need a large tank as I only go up to as much as a half of a pack of analogs in a day. However, my budget is far from modest for this as it is so important to my fiance' and I to get away from analogs. Now I don't think I can vape at work. They are kind of conservative, but that would be cool haha! I am going to pick out our gear online today. As I say this, I find a local vape shop IN MY TOWN. Things just got epic my friends...
