There's several ways to fill a carto. I think I've tried them all and prefer dripping into the top of the carto. The following is what I do:

A tip that I use when pre-filling the carto is to plug the center air hole with a wooden tooth pick. This blocks any unwanted e-juice from getting into the tube that can cause flooding.

I hold the carto at a slight angle, and rotate it around as I drip liquid onto the polyfill. When the fibers look like a slushy drink, I shake the carto down like a thermometer. This produces the same effect as a centrifuge, forcing the juice down into the carto.

I return to adding more drops, and shake it down again. Repeat this process until the polyfill will absorb no more liquid.

The carto is now ready to vape. No need to blow out the carto, as no liquid got in it. No need to let the carto sit, it's already as set as it can get.

If this is for a cartotank, the rest of my method is explained here:

Thanks man. I love the tooth pick idea. I'm gonna grab a box of them tomorrow!

I tried some round toothpicks and screwed up a couple cartomizers when it caught on the wicking fibers when I removed it. I've gone back to the condom method. It's a little messier, but it fills them fast, and it works for me.

Of all the videos out there, I've only seen one done the way I do it. I put the mouth side into the filled condom. After its been in there a bit, I turn it over and wait til any bubbles disappear looking at the condom. Never had to blow the air shaft clear this way and never had it leak out the bettery end... though I do usually put a condom on that side too just in case and to be able to let it sit if I want. This way is much less messy.

When I used the condom fill method, juice would get all in the center straw so after filling I would take a paper clip, stick it through the center straw, and twirl the carto a bunch until I got all the juice out. Basically you want to clean out the straw otherwise youll be sucking up juice.

But now I use the tube fill method, if I might call it that. First I stick a toothpick down the straw - the toothpick will be sticking up quite a bit and that's fine. Then I take a latex tube, about 6 inches long, and slide that over the top of the carto that has the toothpick sticking out of it. Then I pour juice down the tube. After that, I just slowly blow through the latex tube and the carto fills right up on the first try with no juice in the straw. Setup takes about 20 seconds, and filling takes about 10 seconds.

I've tried a lot of different methods and I think the tube one works soooo much better, faster, and stealthier than the others.
