Before I get to the responses, I want to say to the OP that I'm sorry this happened. As a fellow Canuck, I can commiserate. I usually order from US vendors, as most of them are familiar with the situation here and will do what they can to make sure the package slips across the border inconspicuously. To that end I've never had a problem, though if there is any question about whether or not a vendor will do this I will shoot them a note and ask. Most vendors who are not willing to do that usually don't ship to Canada anyway, but just the same I like to be sure.
In addition to that there are a number of Canadian vendors who carry nic liquids. Check the Canada forum, and in particular the Vendors section and Canadian Vendors sub-forum.
It is outrageous that Canada has banned nicotine liquid when you can go right down to the corner store and
buy a pack of cigarettes with the same banned nicotine - and about 4,000 carcinogens for good measure! Normally Canada is more sensible than that.
Yes, it's ridiculous -- but Health Canada are just doing what the FDA was trying to do. Unfortunately we don't have the same kind of weight to put behind our push to get them to unban it and regulate it like the FDA was forced to do -- but I am hoping that eventually we follow the FDA's lead on that.
I've been hearing good things about the eGo Booster. But the source is in Canada.
And I don't think I want to be sending money to Canada knowing that there is a chance that some idiot government official will "confiscate" it. Just a fancy word for stealing.
I've got options. I feel sorry for those of you who live in Canada.
This kind of nonsense may spread over to the US, too.
It should be noted that it is only nicotine liquids that are banned here, not hardware or 0-nic liquids. So if there's one saving grace in this absurdity it's that we have no problem ordering hardware from anywhere, just juice.
