My dear friend Ocelot created this beautiful graphics illustrating eGo class battery threading.
Yes, that's pretty much exactly what mine looks like.

Did you order a T3 or a T3S clearomizer? You know, the tank and the mouthpiece????
Um, this is what I originally ordered (what I have right now):
EGO Vision clearomizers LR 2.1-2.4ohm

That's the old T3, I'm guessing, because the head that came with it (the base and coil) are all one piece.

Today when I ordered the Kanger T3s Base Replacements I did kinda wonder about the "T3s" part. So I don't have the new T3s clearomizer, but surely they haven't changed the width of the base...

Don't worry those will work fine on your kgo. He was referring to his zmax which had the ego threading recessed into a drip well. for him the replacement heads were to wide with the drip well and was chocking off the air flow. This is not a problem with your kgo because the whole head is wide open to air.

That image is a different mod but the same thing that's giving him problems, the wall around the connectoris choking off his air flow. There is also 2 different versions of this head the T3 and the Mt3 version. The only difference is the outer diameter of the head. The mt3 version is a little bit bigger around to match the mt3 better because of the extra metal sleeve on it. They will both work on the t3 or mt3 just might not match the outer diameter of the clearo if mixed up.
Oh man, thanks for clearing that up... Your confidence is very reassuring. After I receive my order I'll post my results for anyone else who might be in the same boat and wondering "are these going to work or not?"

You're good to go! The new bases should be compatible with the old T3 clearos.

Keep us posted. :D

And let me just say... I really can't thank all you guys enough. This forum is like a small town where everyone is so friendly and kind (but hopefully without the gossip part that comes with small towns, lol).

AWESOME resources. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can see light at the end of the tunnel now. :)

Sorry to tell you but........you may think you see the light at the end of the tunnel but as soon as you see that, someone here will put a blindfold on you and spin you around.

I'm just kiddding but seriously, everytime I think I'm beginning to understand all of this I read another post that will have me scratching my head for hours. I do love it though, I think I am beginning to understand more about all of this vaping underworld stuff. And when I come across something that is totally alien I just post a new thread and ask alot of dumb questions and there is always someone that seems to love answering dumb questions. I even think I might even try building my own coil before to long.
Just keep asking questions until you feel comfortable with what you know.

Welcome to ecf!!!

I hadn't looked at it that way, but being able to use one vendor as a trusted resource is certainly worth a few extra bucks when you're clueless!
In the beginning, it helped me out quite a bit. I would put everything into the cart (not check out), snap a screen shot of it, and email the vendor asking if the stuff in the cart is compatible.
Once I got a better handle on some of the vaping lingo and juice delivery systems, I was able to simply order replacement parts, and shop around for better prices. All the vendors I have dealt with so far are so nice, and it never hurts to ask questions. Most vendors don't accept returns based on "it doesn't fit my battery/gear", or "I thought this was something else". If you do order something the doesn't fit, more than likely, someone makes an adapter for it. :)
I also took note of not only price, but how fast the vendor was. I feel paying a couple of extra bucks is worth it for fast service if you're close to running out of juice or supplies. (Anything to keep off analogs!)
I have never paid for any express shipping, and I have gotten things as fast as two business days. I also have waited over a ten days for pre mixed juice (some vendors make it to order). If I need the juice right away, I order from someone who doesn't make it to order; you can usually skip the steep time this way.

Yes, over-confidence could come back and bite me in the ...., lol.

Good thinking, that's great advice for all e-cig newbies.

FYI I received the base and coil replacements recommended by HughDaHand and they do indeed work perfectly with my kgo.

Kanger eVod Base Replacement

Kanger T3s/MT3s Coil Replacement ** 5 Pack - 2.5 ohms

They arrived just in time, as the second coil I had on hand didn't have the special powers that the first one did and it was quickly going south.

Besides the recommendation for the two-piece base and coil replacements, I should thank HughDaHand just for turning me on to discountvapers.com. I ordered these parts on Sat. morning and had them by Mon (regular 1st class). When they say they ship the same day, they aren't kidding. I guess the P.O. deserves a shout-out too, but I'm not as optimistic that their service will be consistent, haha.
