Hello all, I have read through some threads and I am still confused about the EMOW coils in relation to the voltage. My EMOW came with 1.5ohm coils but it seems like they aren't the proper coils for anything but the 3.7v setting according to the Kanger chart?? (which says 1.5ohms is for 3.1-4.0V) though I had been using it on the 4.2v setting before I was aware of this chart and didn't seem to have any noticeable issues (have only had it for 5 days now). Is it ok to use the 4.2v setting with the 1.5ohm coils or is that too much for it and I should stick with the 3.7v lowest setting??

if its not giving you dry hits you are good if you havent had a dry hit yet youll know when you do. As long as your getting enough juice and air to your coil all is good. the rule of thumb for regular resistance is add 2 but thats just a starting point. Depending on what juice and what ratio you might need to go up or down a little. So if its working for you Vape on!

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing damage to the coil without knowing it. I haven't had a dry hit yet, I'm vaping Space Jam Astro and it's tasting good so far at 4.2v so I guess I'll keep using that setting for now.

The EMOW coils are dual coils; so what you really have are two 3 ohm coils wired in parallel. So the voltage range would be similar to what you could use on a single 3 ohm coil.

See this link for more detail/explanation on this (it also includes charts).

Ok, now it makes sense to me finally. Much appreciated!!

Maybe yo are looking at a chart for single coils.

edit: oh late to the party, I see somebody else has already explain that.
