A higher nic level will give an ever so slight, bitter taste. You'll be more likely to notice the rise in your blood pressure before the nic taste though. 18mg works perfect for my smoking/vaping habit. 24's and 36's make my heart beat harder. 12's and under don't give me enough.

If you're buying from a company that gives you options in VG/PG I would stay between 50/50 and 80pg/20vg. A lot of the more expensive liquids don't even give you an option because they spent so much time perfecting the balance. All PG may taste unnatural or even chemically depending who you buy it from. Too much VG can gunk up an atty and can be too thick to use in some devices.

VV is useful to get the most of your flavors and devices. Some of it is getting a juice to the perfect temperature (can turn cold apple pie to warm apple pie). Some of it is not vaporizing more juice than the device can wick to the heating element (prevent burnt taste on long of multiple drags). To get an idea of what it's like try a LR atomizer vs a regular atomizer of the same type. Now imagine being able to hit all the points between those two and many more.
