My question is about flavor.
All other things being equal (equipment, nic level, what I've eaten, steeping, etc.), how much does a higher PG percentage affect how strong a flavor tastes? I'm not talking about TH here, just flavor.
The reason I ask is that I have batches of different flavors from two different "made-to-order" U.S. vendors. One is about 70/30 PG/Vg while the other is 40/60. The flavors in the 70/30 are as intense as I'd like them to be. The 40/60 flavors are very tasty but also seem very weak to me.
I've heard that more PG brings out more flavor, but the difference is huge. Can this difference just be due to PG level? If so, wouldn't the maker add more flavoring to higher VG level juice?
