Incompatible? No, I am using an Aspire Nautilus tank (probably the one you have) on a 40w battery right now. But, the 1.6 or 1.8 ohm coils are not designed to go much higher in power than 15w, although I have gone up to 20w just for testing purposes. The coils you mentioned are both fine, but the 1.6 ohm coils will product just a bit more vapor and heat, but it's not that much more.

For a long time, I have been using the 1.8 coils without any negative issues. Just recently bought two packs of 1.6 coils, and I am looking forward to giving them a try. Be sure you purchase authentic coils from a reputable vendor--if you get knock-offs, you will be miserable.

You might not need to go higher in watts at all if you like your flavour :) lots of folks stick in the 8 to 12 watt range, even though high watts is fashionable these days.

The nautilus is a really good tank so i would be hesitant to change it if you are happy with your vape. Many folks would recommend the subtank mini from kanger, i have it but i still think the nautilus has a better flavour just not as much vapour.

Most tanks and batteries/mods have the standard 510 style connection so they will work. The difference mostly comes into how much watts your coil and tank combo want compared to what the battery/mod can produce.

Are you happy with the taste of what yoy have?

This is the lowest price i have found for genuine coils, good vendor, many happy customers here.. Aspire Nautilus BVC Coils Organic Cotton

Very little difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 i would just go with the 1.8 for a while unless/until you might want a bit more 'cloudz'

Thank you! Your info is most helpful :) I do like the nautilus! After what you have said I am content with the watt range as well. I pretty much stay at 15w. Thanks also for the clarification on the coils too! I just ordered 2 packs on 1.8 but I will check out the link you sent next time (GOOD to have!) Just curious, how long should a coil last? I seem to go through them pretty quick. Thanks for your help :)

wow ok! Do you think the cotton should be primed or no? It seems like if I don't, the taste is bad - I have looked at the cotton and sometimes it is sparce (choppy) not a nice circle inside- Do you think these may be defective?

Absolutely primed, and let sit for several minutes. Might be defective or knock-offs. Good to find a reputable place to get originals from.

I find the coils last me a few days sometimes up to a week. Sweet juices will tend to wear them out faster. I tend to screw on the coil and just let it sit in the tank upright for 2 3 4 5 minutes before taking a first vape.

I think 15 may be a touch high you might want to start at 9 watts and then slowly adjust up to maybe 10 or 11 based on the flavour. For what its worth i have found about 9.8 to be the sweet spot.

If your watts are too high it could be burning the cotton which will taste icky.

I have a aspire 5ml tank- Im not sure which coil to purchase the 1.6 ohm or 1.8. I don't understand ohm 's either. I have an Alesia 40w battery but I only go to 15 w because it either tastes burnt or gets too hot. I don't see a cloud difference with the higher wattage ? Is the hardware I have incompatible?
I vape nautilus mini's with higher Nic at 8w and it's good, mouth to lung.

Thank you all! Question- the lower the wattage ... better the taste? I vape 18mg so the flavor gets snuffed out I think. If I lower the wattage the flavor should be better? I have always been thinking I would get better clouds with a higher wattage. In actuality- the tank is what determines the clouds? There is so much to learn

It depends on so many factors like the Pg/Vg ratio, the ejuice that you are smoking, the tank, ohms, voltage/wattage and the list goes on...

You need to be more specific to receive an appropriate answer.

Let's say generally peeps use a Pg/Vg 50/50% ejuice ratio .. The Pg gives you the taste and throat hit and the Vg gives you the vapor.

The cloud chasers use a Higher Vg ratio like 80/20 but the taste is more muted but the clouds are bigger because of the nature of Vg and irrates less on the lung hits.

If you really want "taste" I'd put aside a coil based atomizer and buy a Kafun v4 or Lemo Drop with a 1.4ohm Japanese cotton build at 7/8watts using an ejuice with a Pg/Vg 50/50% ratio.
