Just to contribute a bit. If I'm not using my carto/tanks, then I'm using a Vivi Nova. tilt and rotate. Some people (that I've found) just cant get the grasp of priming the carto. They all think that about 4-5 drops and it's all good to go. When I show em how to fill and prime a carto, well they don't understand where all the juice goes. (IMHO they shouldn't be using a carto. They saw one and thought it looked cool). Sorry just my :2c:

This means it is wicking fine, BUT... it was not at one point(obviously) and you prolly scorched the juice, which carmalized the wicks, and thats what youre tasting.
The vivi nova should help, ya just gotta remember to keep the wicks wet, or the same thing will happen.

You can also clean your wicks/coil by dry burning. They may still have a little bit of that carmalized flavor after tho. Worst case is soak them in HOT rubbing alcohol for a bit, then rinse with hot water.

Ah thank you for explaining this!!! I was really getting quite confused. What would have caused this though? I must have done something as its both clearos. I kept them filled with liquid. I'm thinking they might be cheap clearos too from some reviews I read.

EDIT: OK so I dry burned the heck out of it on your suggestion. It seems to be working again!! Thanks so much. You saved my mind.

Words on carto setups

Thank you for your blog posts. Although I have only been vaping for a couple months using a clearo setup, I've already grown tired of the inconsistencies with the various options and have wanted to switch to carto tank setups, and your blog entry is a great guide to move to those.
