Hello,

I have a Kanger KBOX 40W

Kangertech KBOX 40W 18650 Mod

And am using it with
MXJO 18650 2500mAh 35A High Drain Battery

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N793Z30/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here's my problem. I vape at the max the device can go(40W) and it works fine for a little while then when the battery indicator goes down by one level it stops firing by giving a flashing error and I turn it down to 35W and it fires fine again.I can vape at the Wattage for a bit and when the battery level goes down again I have to turn it down to 30W.

Is this just how 18650 batteries work or do I have some kind of problem? Does it work like this in most devices that other people here use? Are my batteries or KBOX just bad?

I have a Innokin Disrupter that has a max of 50W with the Innokincell(That I won here) and I can vape that on 40W until it is down to a few bars of power.

I know this is prob impossible to answer but maybe someone who uses the same type of setup can tell me if they are having(or had) the same types of problems and could give me some information as to why this type of thing is happening.

Thank you for your time,

Rob

I got the same battery but not from that seller was just putting that link to show the exact type but when I got this battery it had the authentic code and the batteries I got were genuine MXJO batteries

But yea maybe they are just crap to begin with but I read reviews saying they were pretty good. I have used then at lower(20W) with no problems

The Kanger Kbox 40W utilizes overcurrent protection. Part of that may detect excessive voltage sag (sudden drop in voltage). That's probably why the Kbox is shutting down.

Buy an LG HG2, Samsung 25R, or a Sony VTC6 18650 for that mod.

Authentic AW Batteries - RTD Vapor is a trusted battery supplier and the prices are right. They have the HG2 for $6.74. They guarantee that what they sell is OEM, not counterfeit.

If this was Me, I would take the Mod to a Vape Shop and ask them if you could Test a LG or Sony Battery in it and see if it does the Same Thing.

If it does the Same Thing, then the Mod is most likely Wacked.
If it Doesn't, then your Battery is the Culprit.
