Brand new to vaping and pretty comfortable with my ego ce4, but the battery is only 650mah and i'm looking to upgrade to at least 1100+ just because kill my battery after a few hours... I am currently looking at ego-c twist batteries, are those compatible? Also, if I'd like to switch my clearomizer after a while, what specific threading would I need to look for for ego-c twist batteries. All a little confusing for me!! Sorry for the nooby question

eGo batteries have two sets of threads. The 510 thread is the small one that makes electrical contact to anything attached. (What your charger screws into.) The eGo thread is the larger thread on the outer part of the battery.

Anything you see that says it's 510 threaded (only) just screws onto the small threads of the battery. Like a ProTank 2. Anything that says it's 510/eGo threaded relies on the larger threads on the battery to screw on and provide additional support. Like a ProTank Mini.

Since these are the most common threading options in the market you have a lot to choose from.

If a battery has an ego connector, you can use atomizers with both ego and 510 connections.
If a battery has a 510 connector, you can only use 510 atomizers (or get an adapter).

If an atomizer has ego threading, you can only use batteries with ego (or get an adapter).
If an atomizer has 510 connector, you can use both ego and 510 batteries.

If you want something similar to an ego (has both 510 and ego threading, like the ego battery) and want much more battery power to get you through the day, maybe an MVP 2 might be better for you and a slight step up.

Differences would be it's a box style mod, 2600mah built in battery, can use it as a pass through (charge while you vape via usb ), does Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage, can use it as a battery bank and charge other items on the go in a pinch.

But also it is a bit more pricey. 101vape.com has it for $39.99 with 3 bucks shipping... it feels much better in the hand than you think. And it will only go 6 to 11 Watts and or 3.3 to 5 volts which for new vapors is really not bad at all. Battery lasts most new vapors like 2 days or a bit less if you chain vape.

When I first started I used to use joyetech ego c twists (genuine ones) and they would die on me all the time (1000mah variety) so frustrating. I actually have an MVP 2 instead of replacing my old ego batts (both lasted about a year or so with heavy use).

With a fully charged MVP 2 you will not run out of power from the start till the end of the day when you get home. I'm using it as a backup to a cana dna30 clone which you can also grab from 101vape, but all in with batteries (sony vct5's) and a decent charger you will be over $120 easy. That might be a bit overkill for you right now. Good luck and vape on.

Here's a picture of what everyone is talking about:

And here are a few blog posts I highly recommend by ECF member Baditude:
