Hey guys, I'm only a week into vaping and looking at upgrading from an e-puffer magnum to something with more balls haha....my question is if I were to get a kanger protank, would an ego-c 650mah battery be compatible with it? Thanks
Yes, but you will probably need lower resistance coils for the Protank. Get some 1.8 through 2.2 coils. The 2.5 ohm coils that come with the PT are a bit high for most folks to enjoy. The PT will also "look funny" because that's a 22mm diameter tank.
I'd recommend the Protank 2 over the 1. The PT1 had some threading and leaking problems, most of which have been addressed with the newer model.
Totally agree with IBCR. When I'm at work I bring a Protank 2 and 650mAh ego with me, leaving my APV at home. 1.8 ohm heads. It works and it works well my friend
You will probably have to take extra slow/long puffs to get larger clouds and intense flavor, but that's not a bad thing IMO. Gives you plenty of time to enjoy the flavor!
Welcome Hellbus80 to the forum.
The protank would work alright as IBCR Media stated but as another suggestion you might look at an Evod. If your not using cracking juices the plastic Evod should work well and looks less top heavy on a 650 mah ego. The Evod uses the same heads as the protank so stay with the 1.8 to 2.2 ohm coils and it makes a good setup.
Good luck.
Another option is the Protank Mini 2. Smaller diameter and smaller capacity, but pairs up well with Ego batteries and provides a nice, small form factor that's pocket friendly.
I have Evods with my 650mAh systems and they work like a champ. All with either 1.8 or 2.0 ohm coils.
Yea I just discovered the protank mini actually, and I'm thinkin thats what I may go with for the ego battery....I will have to get a replacement pack of 1.8 ohm coils too....thanks alot for the info and suggestions guys! you are a very helpful bunch
Try a Protank Mini 2. It'll look better on the device unless you don't mind. Also, if you want to see if you like it before dropping all of that money, just get an Evod Bcc. They use the same coils and vape the same way. Only about 6 bucks and you can see if you like how it vapes.
Another happy eGo-C Twist 650/PT 2 Mini user here!!! A trusted combo that's worked well for many.....
Although.....I just started dripping (and I DON'T mean my PT 2!!!!) so I'm not as inclined to keep ALL my tanks filled ---
Just a couple that I use a LOT with my favorite juice...after I FIND a favorite from dripping!!!
Happy (vaping) Trails!
