I ordered a Riva 510 T today and from what I understand each cart or carto only lasts for the equivalent of 5 cigarettes. If you smoke 1 pk a day, then that is about 4 carts or cartos a day. From reading on another forum and from asking customer svc when I ordered today, some people are getting days and days out of one cart or carto. How??? Am I misundersttanding something? :?:

Prefilled cartos - never been able to get more than 4-5 hours of vaping out of them. If I fill them myself, I can get half a day. Have to say, I'm a chain vapor so it will depend on how much you vape. I go through about 4 ml of juice a day, standard size empty cartos will hold about 0.8 to 1 ml of juice, I think........

Hey Moody,

Cartos/atomizers could die at any moment, however they tend to last longer than stated by the manufacturer. If the cartos you're using are pre-filled with juice, then I'm not sure how long they will last you as I only use non-filled cartos/attys.

From my experience, I get around 1-2 weeks for a LR Carto at 3.4 volts (Ego) or 3.7 volts (Silver bullet) as long as I keep it wet, so that means dripping 3-4 drops every 10-20 puffs. For LR atomizers, I have been vaping steady since mid February and have yet to kill an atomizer, though I have about 5 in rotation due to different flavors. I use Boge cartos and Vaper Kings 510 LR atomizers. Both have performed admirably.

I also clean the batch of 5 every 3 weeks or so by running them through an ultra sonic cleaner with distilled water. This generally just cleans out the juice/flavor.

The quality of the atty/carto could be part of the reason for my specific experience, but I would tend to believe that with a little care, you should be able to get decent life out of any carto/atty.

In either case, you've come to the right place as ECF has all the information (and opinion) you could possibly need.

Welcome!

J

As far as I know the Riva 510 T has the tank system. I bought a Riva 510 with boge cartomisers one month ago, and call me lucky and touch wood, but I've not had a single cartomiser fail yet (still using the ones that came with it)! I have a pack on standby for when that happens though because they're probably all gonna go at once! I just keep them wet and use the same juice in each cartomiser... Seems to do the trick :) Good luck!

Not sure about pre-filled, but as long as you keep a good amount of liquid in there, you can get a decent amount of mileage from them. They are marketed as disposable, but I have a small handful that are still in rotation after a little over a month and some that I have tossed after a day or two.

Take the cap off a cart and the rubber to see the filler. When it looks dry top it off. I have been using one cart for longer then any boge carto I have ever had. This cart is over a month old. Just top it off every 20 pulls and it will vape very well and last for a long time. Of course it also depends on the juice. If you use 40%/60% PG/VG you should be good. The last 4 days I am at 50/50 and it has yet to cause an issue. Basic rule is that the more VG the more it will gunk up a cart or carto. But more VG is more vapor. Not an issue for me cause I get plenty of vapor with 40-50% VG.
