Confused with VaporFi Website

So I'm ready to make my first ecig purchase... I have a decent amount of money to blow so I decided to get this...

Vapor-Fi Pulse Starter Kit

The problem is, I want to add more cartomizers to my cart so I don't have to wait to get new ones when I need them replaced... the thing is, the vaporfi website is kind of confusing or maybe I'm just stupid.

The product description says: Your Pulse Starter Kit can be used with the VaporFi Pro-L, Pro-XL, Platinum, Titan, tank, Premium and Clear line of cartomizers.

But when I click on the "Atomizers and Cartomizers" thing on their website all they have are atomizers and only one cartomizer...

Can atomizers be used as cartomizers? Will atomizers work with the Pulse? According to the youtube videos I watched on ecigs, atomizers are different then cartomizers...

Or maybe I buy different compatible tanks for the Pulse and put compatible atomizers into those? Ughhh help me guys.

The prices are outrageous. They sell re branded kit for 2 or 3 times as much as necessary.

Look at the Rocket. It's a Kanger EMOW kit. It's a $50 kit. Up until last year they were advertising it as "was" $279.99 "now" $119.99

Just my opinion, but look around on here for some suggested kits. Vaporfi might be a great kit, but I honestly believe you could do much better for the price..

That's at least better, I don't have any experience with the halo system though. For a basic kit here is an example, Kanger Evod Starter Kit - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes. Just one of many good budget kits and MBV has pretty fast shipping in my experience.

What are you really looking for in a kit? Just a basic kit can help you off the cigs, but be warned, it is another addiction, we tend to start collecting devices...

Lol honestly I have around 200$ I can spend, all I'm really looking for is something that's made of long lasting parts and is low maintenance. But I don't want a low-end device... mid or higher

You are in the right place then, maybe listening to the wrong person though! I've been vaping about 2 yrs now and haven't invested that much in hardware yet. Shop around a bit, with a budget of $200 you can get some really good hardware that will last a long time. See some of the post in the variable voltage section, the clearomizers or cartomizer sections, check out the blog section too. Maybe Susan S will be along with some links, always informative. Along with many of the other members here! Check Baditude's blog, good info there too.

The other posters are right; VaporFi kits are just rebranded Kangertech equipment....at like double the price. The Halo Triton kit has a lot of fans, is more affordable, and their e-liquids are top notch. However, the Triton is not variable voltage (last that I checked) and I heard that Halo equipment has some cross compatibility issues with non-Halo brand clearomizers (perhaps someone else can chime in on this...has something to do with the center pin placement on their batteries). Variable voltage is not required. But it's a nice feature you may want to upgrade to eventually.

I would stay away from Vaporfi as well. There are a lot of great mods around $50-75. Honestly, what you put on it is going to have at least as much, if not more impact than the mod. Plus the battery you use.

Personally I would go for something that has replaceable batteries, but that's me. A lot of folks are loving the IPV mini. (around 50.00) I haven't tried one, but think I may like to try it. I am currently using a hana clone that was gifted to me. There are things I like about it, and things I don't. Do you want a tube mod, or a box mod? I personally like box mods, but tubes are ok.

For an atomizer I would suggest either an aspire bdc, or an aspire nautilus with bvc coils. The bdc runs around 9.00 for the whole set up and are great. The naughty has better flavor, but is a little more fiddly, runs around $25-30 plus another $9ish if you want the tank that has the stainless around it, which I would recommend if you go that route. In the vaping world......sometimes you get what you pay for........but a lot of times.... price isn't indicative of quality. I don't know how much reading/research you've done, but I would definitely invest the time before you invest the dollars. Good luck.

Definitely stay away for vaporfi as you can see by others comments they are a rip off. With that budget you can pretty much take your pick of what you want. I would suggest getting 2 set ups with your budget 1 for everyday use the other a back up. A seigelli 100watt + can be had for 90$ now and an istick,mvp20,ipvmini along with kanger subtank to have a subohm experience and the rba deck for when you decide to try rebuilding and a nautilus mini for the other unit. These setups will show you what vape really tastes like. The subtank has great flavor and good vapor production and the nautilus mini has great flavor and is compact to fit a smaller mod. This is just my opinion if you go under the apv section you can get all the info you would ever need on all devices pros and cons and find what suits you best. Good luck and welcome to ECF.

I have been 'away' for some hours. The Vaporfi plot thickens, most of which I am unable to write on an internet forum.

Vaporfi claim to manufacture all their own equipment.

So, it's not acceptable to say Kanger make the Rocket for Vaporfi, but maybe Vaporfi have based one of their models on the Kanger because it's a cool model.
So, one has to conclude that Innokin do not make the Rebel, but Vaporfi have taken it as inspiration for something far better and higher quality.

With $200 to spend, I would suggest the DNA30. It has a small form factor, very good history and will be something that will last you for some time.

Top it with the Nautilus Mini and you still have $50 for extra coils and juice.

Yeah you could get a nautilus ( mini or regular ) and an istick mini for well under 100 dollars... close to 60 if you look around.

The kanger subtank and a decent box mod for around 150$

or my pick would be 2 Atlantis tanks and 2 CF SUB batteries... under 200$ leaving some left over for juice. Huge clousd of vapor, great flavor and nothing to adjust besides air flow.

Apparently there is confusion over the business models for Vape distributors and resellers. Like most products in todays market, the product you buy is not manufactured by the company on the package, they are distributors, resellers or marketing firms. For example, the Aspire Nautalis is not manufactured by Aspire, but bought from a wholesaler (foundry) who foots the labor and cost of R&D, design and manufacturing then sells the product to a reseller (in this case Aspire) when then have their brand name placed on the product, package it and sell it. In this case the actual manufacturer of the Nautalis is Shenzhen Eyunion Technology Co.,Ltd. This is the same firm that provides VaporFi with the Pro HW and also Kanger and the local brands sold in local retailers, such as Avail on the east coast. Doesn't make the business practices like price gouging right, but they are not rip-offs, just the same manufacturer with small mods on the periphery of the design to make it "unique" and stamped, etched or otherwise marked with the marketing companies name.

This is the same as grocery store brand products, Costco's Kirkland band and many others. A "foundry" company manufactures the products, then sells the product with various bandings to retailers and resellers when then sell on to the customer. This is done to avoid the spread the risk of warehousing, retail space and stock management. One company manufactures a product, a second completely different markets and sell the product. It is very common, especially with the mass globalization of todays market place.

For me, the internet is a place where such sharp practices should be bought to the attention of consumers. I make no apology for my comments.

Don't get me wrong, I am certainly not looking for an apology or to defend VaporFi or any other brands, I am just trying to express that any product from a major manufacturer is perfectly safe and of good quality since the parts come from a limited number of manufacturers. Personally, I do not recommend VaporFI hardware because of what is exactly pointed out in this and other threads, they are overpriced and what you are paying for is the branding. I personally use an Avail Moxie with the Nautalis Mini. Where I am brand loyal is in the juices I use. I do prefer the VaporFi juices. They provide customizing options and I have found their juice to be of very high quality. It does cost a bit more then other brands, but I liken it to buying a Coca Cola vs an off brand like RC. I am willing to pay the additional 5% for the higher quality product with a better taste. Otherwise I recommend finding a good hardware setup that works in your price range, there are plenty of really good products on the market in all price ranges, just use some common sense. As yourself, does the device feel of good quality, what is the warranty, does it do what you want and are you willing to spend the money being asked? Where I do not recommend making price concessions is on the juice, after all that is what you are inhaling and there are a lot of brands and shady vape stores that mix their own in the back that you have no idea what is being mixed, what quality of ingredients are being used, etc.

You mentioned the Halo Triton system as your second choice. Nothing wrong with it at all. The Triton gets generally very favorable reviews and I think you'd be happy with it. That said, consider one of the Kanger budget kits like the EMOW, EMOW Mega, or EVOD Mega kits. The Evod mega has a 1900 mah passthrough battery (convenient) and can be found for $20.00 online. All you need to add is juice and some spare coils. One vendor in particular has the kit for $19.99 with a $9.99 price for a five pack of coils. I can't recall at this time, but I'll post a couple of links to those prices later on when I dig them back up.

OK, so I got out of the 4G/3G black hole I was in that was limiting me to 2G... poop. Lousy weather. Anyhow, as promised, here are the links, all from Vape Super Saver. Keep in mind he's kind of a mom and pop (or just pop, I guess) operation, so his site is a bit chintzy and has a few glitches. Great selection and awesome customer service (in my experience, anyhow) make this a standby site for me, though:

Here is the EVOD Mega starter kit for $19.99. They have 4 colors to choose from, but I'd get the stainless version since scratches won't show in the future and any new tanks will look nicer on it.

Here is a 5 pack of the new Kanger dual coils for $8.99. I'd get the 1.2 ohm, myself with that HUGE battery capacity.

That's $28.98 for a full starter kit with spare coils. Not bad. Vape Super Saver also offers free 1st class shipping on all orders over $15. Even better. You'll be hard pressed to beat this deal.

Some things to consider... no juice here. Vape Super Saver does offer a smallish selection of premium juices from Adirondack and Suicide Bunny, but I'd personally go to your local vape shop after the kit comes in and sample some teeny bottles from their selection in person.

Also, this is a pretty basic tank with a good capacity, but no advanced features like airflow control. It also feeds air directly into the coil from the base of the 510 connector. I personally would consider getting an Aerotank from the same site here at $15.99. I know their site is a bit janked up with the page title and tank diameter (lots of tanks on his site list as 30mm), but it's the right tank at 18.5 mm and it will fit this device NICELY. This tank is also why I suggested the stainless battery finish. That's a total of $44.97 for a bad ... starter kit with a spare "meh" tank. By the way, the Aerotank uses the same coils as the EVOD Mega tank, so you're set there and even have an extra coil from the EVOD tank (that's 8 coils total, 3x 1.5 ohm, 5x 1.2 ohm).

I know some subtanks fit on this battery flush, but I'd never use one. What you ultimately have here is a big, high capacity Ego battery and you run a serious risk of over-discharging the battery. Really with the Aerotank on the 1.2 ohm coils, you're pretty golden and will chuck out a more than respectable amount of vapor with LOTS of flavor.

You're getting a high quality, well built device that will last a long time with a minimum of maintenance and VERY affordable coils. It's also got passthrough charging so you don't need to unscrew the battery from the tank EVERY time to charge it up. This is about as convenient and easy as it gets for under $50... and you have $150 to blow on juice! Just some food for thought.
