There MUST be a ground wire that can be attached to this unit to make it safe to work on!! People do it with computers every day!!!!
Don't let them say they can't do this or it can't be done!! These screws were designed to cause problems down the road!! It is a built in failure! Don't you think the developers of the "one year vacumn cleaner know exactly how many revolutions it will take for the main shaft in their vacuum cleaners will run out of oil? Why do they not have grease fittings or oil slots on the bearings???
My dad used to just drill a hole into the bearing when it was about 8 months old and then install a grease nipple. He worked on farm machinery and developed machines that we know take for granted.
Think of the waste it used to be to have PEOPLE out cutting off the tops of sugar beets when theu realized the tremendous food source they were for cattle? My dad invented a machine that had an automatic adjusting cutter that would cut exactly 1/2 of and inch off of a sugar beet no matter how high it grew out of the ground!!
Do you know the millions that helped farmers save in feeding their cattle by doing this and also saved in manual labor??
Believe me-- there are ways to do what you want to do. I have been around for awhile and have invented floor switches and sound distortion boxes for guitar players so that now the can make very precise adjustments to their sound with their feet and do NOT have to have someone helping them on the floor to make changes to the sound the brilliant musicians wanted.
IT is exiciting to make changes and NEVER believe that built in failures are not a reality-- they are on virtually everything we use to make out lives easier.
Only thing is: These things HAVE TO WEAR OUT faster so that they need to be replaced more regularly. Don't you think they have designed a vacuum cleaner that would last 10 years??? Yes they do know how and if you buy one-- you will pay the price of three because that they know how many you would normally have to buy... take it easy....
