I just got and tried my Kanger EVOD. What an amazing device. The unit I received came with the 2.5 ohm coil, but I ordered a 1.8 ohm coil because it was recommended to me that the lower resistance would be better for my eGo battery (3.3V). One thing I noticed is that the juice I mix is now a little to flavorable (flavoring too strong) with that coil. That's not a bad thing, mind you.

Can someone tell me what differences I can expect if I use the 2.5 ohm coil? I'd like to order another EVOD for me and one for my wife right away, but I don't want to end up with a lot of 2.5 ohm coils that I won't use, and no one seems to have the 1.8 ohm in stock. I know I could try out the one I have, but I'd like to get hers on the way as soon as possible and I don't have the other coil handy.

Sorry to be so impatient but thanks for any response and understanding. There's not much sense in placing two orders, though and pay twice the shipping for both the EVODs and then the coils.

The 2.5Ω will work, but you'll have less flavor and less vapor.

1.8Ω + 3.3V battery = 6 Watts
2.5Ω + 3.3V battery = 4.35 Watts

The higher the Watts, the more flavor & vapor that is produced.
to a point where the wick is not wicking fast enough so the coil will dry burn and you end up with a burnt taste.
