I know, I know.

I started with a standard 1000 mAh eGo battery with a Stardust clearomizer. Then upgraded to a 650 mAh Kgo VV, and then to a Torpedo VVV. I also went and got a Twist (brief sidenote on the Twist: I thought there were a lot of fanboys of the Twist out there... I thought, if it was too good to be true, it probably is... But then I got one. I think I choked on my foot-in-mouth. I use it more than any of my other PVs).

My cousin and co-workers both own Provaris, and another coworker is getting a Darwin in the next week or so. I've tried the Provaris and I love them. I just wish I could afford one. :( But at least I've held one, vaped one, so I know where I can eventually go as far as hardcore mods.

I also know a lot of people started with Blu's or similar analog-looking ecigs. Most moved onto the VVs, the eGos, the mods for quick learners, etc. But my buddy got a joyetech Ecig Starter Kit (Joye 510 T Automatic 510 Starter Kit - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes) from my favorite vendor, and I was fascinated by the look and feel of it. I know this feeling. It's the feeling I always get when I covet something someone else owns.

I have the VVs and the mod. I bypassed the entire analog look-a-like completely. But now, I want an analog-looking ecig to add to my collection. I find myself often holding my Twist and my Kgo like a cigarette, just to kinda get back to that sensation. I haven't touched a real cig in over three months, and I never will... But I want an analog-shape to add to my collection.

My KGO helped me quit analogs. Now I'm really happy using it with my mini vivi nova. But guess what...I've just ordered another analog-shape Standard 510 Kit. I like the idea of vaping on the streets and strangers come up to me and say, "What kind of cigarette is that...?" Then I get to introduce them to the world of e-cigs, LoL. :thumb:

I misspelled "Joye" haha. Watch some YouTube videos on the volt (recommend pbusardo's). It's funny watching how shocked he is at how good the volt is working. This is a guy who probably has everything and he was impressed.

You can get coupons if you go online plus a ton of options. I'd recommend going with the larger sized ones, it only costs $1 to do it but you need the battery life. Remember these things tend to get weaker as the battery drains.

One negative to the Volt PCC is you can't carry extra cartos, so keep that in mind.

Good luck to you!

Thanks! Pretty sure I'm going to patronize my B&M store. Those guys are super cool, and I trust them implicity. Now, it's just a matter of serving tables a day or two to get that kit and some juice! I can go without a fancy PCC. I want an analog look-a-like for the rare and fleeting moments when I'm home alone and I want to hold a real cigarette. Or when I'm out for the evening and busting out a 7-inch smoke stick or a flashlight-shaped mod just makes things awkward... Plus, I don't know why, but for some reason I really, really, REALLY like seeing that blue LED light up... I don't know why, but I do.

I like the LEDs too lol. Anything to get that familiarity. The reason I recommended the PCC is exactly for those nights you're out. If you chain cape like you chain smoked it is a high probability your batteries die and then you're bumming an analog. But maybe you can make it work, the PCC sells for $30 separately anyways.

I understand exactly what you're talking about. I think, in a public setting (say, a party), if a bunch of people are smoking real cigs, and I bust out a giant-.... mod like my Torpedo, it might overwhelm and, quite frankly, turn people off. If I were to bust out my Twist (stainless steel, very pretty, with a DCT 3.5 ml tank, very flush and elegant), I wouldn't freak people out as much, but it still might confuse smokers. Then again, if I whip out an analog-sized Joyetech or Volt, puff away (and I know all of 'em would see the blue LED and be like, "A-waa?!"), it wouldn't completely jar them.

Most likely they would see my analog-sized ecig and ask, "What is that?" And if they already knew what it was, they'd ask (probably pretty snarkily), "Does that work?" I would graciously answer both.

When people say, "It only works if you're honestly ready," that is supreme truth. But I'm so glad I am can be a person who helps introduce someone to ecigs, any way I can. I've never been able to "pay it forward" more in my life since I took to ecigs, and I love this forum for making me a better person (cue Bruce Springsteen's "Secret Garden")

At this point, I would NEVER leave my house without a spare battery, spare cartos, spare attys, and chargers. I have a vape man purse. It's a Crown Royal bag! If I ever got pulled over, the cop would be so disappointed when he thinks he found a jackpot.

Lol awesome! I always wondered what a cop would do if he saw this stuff.

I work with a cop and he says working with vapers on his off days has made him more aware of the fact that they exist. He personally has never encountered someone with an ecig (edit: while on duty), but he's seen enough mods, batteries, attys, cartos, and juice bottles from us to be able to recognize them for what they are. And all it takes is one cop raising his hand during a morning debrief and say, "Hey, I saw these things last night..."

Of course, that's only 1 cop.

I have asked for a law enforcement presence who vape to come forward on the Ecig Forum. I guess to kinda pick their brains, not to see what I "can get away with", but to see if they vape, too!
