I have tried lots of juices and two different e cigs, janty dura c and totally wicked dse901 and I find that I burn out a cartridge in less than 5 minutes, anybody else have this problem? any advice?

When I use it I dry the cart out completely, I have tried inhaling differently but thats about it.

Does the penstyle get better juice holdage?

hmmm, 5 minutes doesn't seem right...not to me at least. I was a heavy smoker so I vape a lot right now, although that's slowly decreasing. Are you filling your own cartridges? If so, perhaps you're not getting enough juice in them. They seem to get air in the bottom and that prevents the juice from going deep into the cartridge. I was refilling 3-4 drops all the time until I found the thread on the "straw mod". It works like a charm. I can now put in 7-8 maybe even 9 drops in my empty 501 cartridge and vape it dry. With heavy vaping it will last 1 hour or so usually longer. Sometimes it even outlasts the battery!
I dont have the link handy, but look into the straw mod. After vaping a whole week I did the modification and it's making a huge difference in the time I spend prepping.

If you are hitting your devices for five minutes straight, sure, you can virtually empty a cartridge. The 801 penstyle devices have a larger cartridge. It might take you 8-10 minutes to use them up.

Hi ya Chef! Yep - sucking on it like a pacifier, like I do, sure does drain the juice. :D I always top up after I have had my vape. Gives the juice time to displace and settle.

I also use this method in all of my carts and find it a great way to properly fill the cart - quick too!

For sure check out the straw mod that people are linking. Also, there are a few other ways of filling your cart that will get you optimal results.

Paper Clip -- Open a paperclip and slide it down the side of the filling. Push it to the side so the liquid can get to the bottom and fill from there up.

Needle -- Inject that thing to perfection

You could also try using a differant filler. Fluval seems to be very popular....along with a ton of other things. Read up in the mods section and see what people are saying, try some stuff out and see if it helps.

About how much liquid are you putting into the cart when you fill it? Might give us an idea of if you are getting max capacity or not.

hyperdeficit;

By your description of what's happening, you may just be what I call a "Power Puffer". If you're doing everything by the book, and running out of juice at a fast pace, it might be time to look into the heavy duty mods.
I thought all the mods were basically for battery power and life.
Do the mods have bigger cartridges too?

I'm not into mods myself, but someone will jump in with accurate information.

What I know, is that if you're a heavy user, you'll get more life out of them. Individual mods have different carts, and attys. You'd have to look at all of them to get what's best for you. I'm sure that the carts are larger than the mini's, but to what extent on each model, I'm not sure.

Throat hit is at a maximum. (Too much for me).

Right, that is due to battery power as I understand it.

If there are mods that have larger cartridges and make efficient use of them, I have not heard about it. But that is really the main thing that would lead me to looking into a mod rather than just simply enjoying my 510 for general vaping and my RN4081 for dripping.
