Hello everyone,

I just started vaping last week. I am using a mixture of 50PG/50VG e liquid. I started out with 12mg nicotine but had to go to 6mg because I thing that was to strong, I would start hacking everytime I hit the 12mg.
Something in this is causing me to have a constant headache and feel spacy. Although my lungs feel better and I can breathe I do not feel better overall.
I felt better when I was smoking. I am not using these e cigs very much as I have come to the conclusion that something is this is causing me to feel pretty bad.
Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.

I went through a couple few days of that, seemed to clear up fairly quick for me. I attributed mine to too much nic, but it sounds like you've all ready dropped it down. You might not be getting enough, either...what led you to thinking 12mg was too much? Also, your delivery method may be impacting your nic intake...what kind of gear are you using?

Other things too look at are possibly your liquid intake. vaping does seem to dehydrate you a bit more than when you're not, so it's important to take in more water.

Good luck figuring it out. I just grinned through it myself and eventually, it cleared up without any further issues to speak of. I'm not saying you should, but it's worth it on the back end.

I hate to say it, but maybe you're allergic to the PG or VG? I went to lunch with a friend of mine last week and she wanted to see my use my e-cig while we were in her car. She had never seen one used. So after I exhaled, she started feeling dizzy. When I mentioned that I heard that the stuff in the e-juice is what they use to make stage smoke, she told me that she's allergic to stage smoke.

I really hope you're not allergic! I do recall when I started (on 1/28/14), I got headaches and felt just kind of weird for the first couple weeks. I was at 16 mg nicotine. They seemed to subside when I went down to 11 mg.

Lower your nicotine ... I just about poisoned myself with too much nicotine in my juice... I am now at about 4% and happy without nausea - spaciness - headaches. And yes hydrate!

4% o_O ?
Isn't that 40mg. I'm using 24mg and i tought that's 2.4%

ONT: It could be that you're getting to little nictoine and/or that the body is adjusting.
Here take a read over here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hen-quitting-tobacco-changing-ecigarette.html

It covers pretty much all of it.
What kinda smokes did you smoke? Red / lights?
If you're getting so much headache it sounds more like cravings / the body is missing out on all chemicals that cigarettes got.
6mg is realy low dose.
For me that was a PAD smoker "reds" i use 24mg. Trying to step down to 18.

What battery delivery device / topper combo are you using?
6mg nic may be too low depending on your previous smoking habits causing your symptoms.
Could be normal withdrawal symptoms from the chemicals & toxins in cigarettes.

Dry hits are harsh could be your delivery device isn't wicking properly.
Gunked up coil/head can give funky / odd tastes harsh / dry hits.
If you're using a VV/VW might have the power set too high.

Inhale technique between smoking and vaping are quite different, the hacking could be caused by trying to vape like you'd normally smoke.
Some juice flavoring don't agree with everyone's system, the nic mg might have been mislabeled.
Low quality juice can be harsh at any nic mg.

How would you know what it is? I just lit up a real cig and it tasted like burnt paper, first time in a week. Put it out right away. I can`t hardly stand this constant headache, took 4 Excredrin the other day and still had it.

You may not be getting enough nicotine. The body works in weird ways. I know my daughter had complained about a headache she couldn't get rid of. I asked her if she had any caffeine that day and she thought for a moment and said she didn't think so. I gave her a Coke and she was better in about 10 minutes. Caffeine and nicotine effect the body in very similar ways. If your nic intake has dropped drastically from what you were getting from smoking, this could be the cause. It all depends on how much you smoked. I smoked 2+ PPD and started at 24 mg/ml juice. I believe that if I hadn't , I probably would have gone back to smoking. Just a point of reference. Hope you feel better and find out what the issue is.
