So I've had my 510 for a little over a week now and everything was going great until I clogged the *** out of my atomizers with a bad juice I made. I accidentally found a method that cleaned them out like new and they were really really good yesterday.

Today, for whatever reason, I'm just getting so :censored: frustrated because the only way I can get good vapor and TH is dropping ONE drop directly on the atty. Dropping more than that or putting in a cartridge just floods it to the point where I can't get anything. I end up having to blow it out and then I get a few good puffs before it starts tasting burnt. It gets flooded to the point where it's like each drop is going down through the hole instead of sitting on top. It's hard to explain but it makes dragging really hard and it just gurgles and doesn't produce any vapor at all until I blow it out. It gets super hot, as well, even after just one 2-3 second drag.

Did I clean something out of there that I shouldn't have? I never had this problem before. Even one or two drops into a cart filler will cause this flooding issue. I tried thickening my juice with VG to see if that would help but it didn't. I even tried using one of the prefilled carts that came with the unit that I never used. Still happened.

Are my atties shot or did I just over-clean them? (if you can do such a thing)

Sound EXACTLY like you tore your wick out of it. Or ruined it in some way.

What cleaning method did you accidentally find ?? That might tell the whole story.

I use a steam shark every couple of days to clean mine. Man they taste great and it only take 45 second or so of the stem blast from both ends.

Generic Listerine. LOL I was reading about the crest mouthwash soaking method but didn't have crest so I tried it. It worked a little too good, I think. Did I maybe melt the wick or something? I didn't tear anything out, it was just a 15 minute soak, rinse with alcohol and then PGA to get the Listerine flavor out. I was in heaven for most of the day yesterday, it worked so well. I was only refilling my cart every 3-4 hours or so. It was good for a while this morning, too but then all of a sudden, they began acting flooded like crazy. I only have two and I was using them both and cleaned them both the same way.

I'm too chicken to do anything else to them. I'll just have to deal until I can order more next week.

I assume this is a manual 510 and not one of those rare auto ones. I would suggest you try a new atomizer and if it works fine, then you obviously have an atomizer problem. Some atomizers last weeks or even a month or more and some last only a few days. You can never have too many atomizers. And if you like how it vapes when you drip, then start dripping, 2-3 drops at a time, like many of us have switched to, and don't mess with the carts anymore. I would blow out the atty every evening and let it sit power side up overnight.

Hi,

Just my theory but I think if you were refilling your cart every 3 or 4 hours, you probably ran a bit dry, maybe there was some left overs of the cleaning that made it worst.

If the internal wick (around the coil) got burnt then there isn't much you can do (at least in my experience). I have came to this from time to time, the wick under the bridge just seems to lose its ability to work properly, possible because it's burnt, in my case it has happened without cleaning or anything, I noticed it because every time there's more and more liquid build up in the sides of the cart.

As a last resource and if it gets worst, you can try the tip that someone posted (sorry I don't have the link and can't remember his name) about removing the bridge completely and using it for (direct) dripping only... however I don't think that will hold more than 2 drops...

Good luck
