Unfortunately today I slipped once and it's been a rough few months.

I have well over $1700 in vape gear in just this year. Would a fair offer to a few friends be half or maybe a third less than what I paid?

Never sold equipment and ideas needed...I'm thinking that would be fair myself. Unsure though. ...

Sorry to hear about your slip up. Don't get discouraged. We all slip up. Hell I still do. Been trying to quit completely for awhile now but still trying. As for your pricing on your stuff. Imho, it would totally be up to you and what you feel is fair. Can't really say what a fair price is because everyone prices their gear differently. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Imo, depends on the condition, so individual items may vary from near full to significantly less.

Then again, a slip is a slip, not a fail. You may want to keep it all for your use when you un-slip :) So you don't have to go through another buying spree.

Thank you. Actually lit up on here of all things. I'll be fine either way. Might even just try a rx again even though my doctor's don't agree with me on it. (I've had a few issues with the patches as well. Skin irritation. Also had PG issues in which I had to revert). Thought I was going to nail this again. Didn't. My health went way down last year after almost dying. I'll be fine. At least I've helped others and still will. Thank you.
I have a few people that seem to crave buying gear more than I ever have. Plus have a few friends that could use some of what I have, in the cheap that is. Wasn't sure if I was better off asking for half or a third. Some of my stuff is still out in the mail on its way. Kinda sad about that. I'm sure all my diy supplies can go for a better amount but the mods I'm not sure of a good start. I guess I'll box it and just see who needs what. Just tell them to give me an offer and if it's way low I'll just refuse. Lol. I'll stand firm on one of my PV's though. One has never been used and it's a few years old now.
Thank you for your input....Gives me a start on knowing the market can be one way or the other, depending upon what's fair and what's not. :)

It's a fail. Too much stress and added stress just to vape lately. Unfortunately.

I kept everything since 2012 and I'm sure I can find a new home and give me more space as well. All of my gear is in pristine condition with the exception of that ratty looking Drag 2 with paint issues.

Thank you for the idea on how to piece it out since I'm sure that's the only way to go here locally. I'll probably ask for a good price on the gear that is still in the mail on its way. Just spent $300 on DIY juice gear, unused with the exception of one flavor.

I didn't want to go on a shopping spree to end up like this. Promise you that. :)

For stuff that's new in box, what you paid for it. For other stuff, depends on condition and rarity, and how much the other guy wants it. Generally, stuff is worth way less than we think it should be, unless it's something special. High end gear tends to hold its value better than cheap stuff. I've sold atties that cost me the same amount, for 20 bucks and for 60 bucks.

Why give up with a slip? Duel use and see if you can get back on the wagon. and, yeah, you’ll only get 50-100% RRP for very high end and hard to get gear, if it is used (with the box). Even new consumer level gear, sealed in the box, you’ll be lucky to get 50-75% it’s value.

Thank you. I have a few cheap things but I've tried to keep most of my gear in affordable but nice range. The stuff I have on the way and at the other home was rather nice. I even have a full collection of Hana's in each color never used. I did buy 3 that I did use though. I have a friend that has itched for years to buy those. I know I'll never get what I paid for them via others. PV's probably would have a home if I just said they were for sale. The Vapor Sharks, the Flask and the SX should be fine to sell at a good price. The cheap stuff is just hard to price.
The diy liquids should be easy enough to get rid of since most of that was on sale and I had just gotten into that area. Now the unopened newer juice should be easy too. I have a handmade station at the other home that was pretty cool and could be sold to a local store, I'm sure. All my coil stuff I can teach a few here and there and be able to piece kits out for them easily.
I'm sure I can find another use for all this space I've taken up. Lol. :)
Thank you for your help!

Finding it harder lately. I don't have much time to figure a few things out in vaping and having to help others which includes daily traveling back and forth. Stress there and stress trying to continue on this journey. I'm a positive person in general and just seen pessimistic things lately. I feel I'm done. Bought a carton today and so happened to literally beg to do it. The owner knew how much it meant to me to stay analog free. Plus they called the paramedics on me last year and saw me live. I think it hurt her more than myself today.
I was able to drop analogs immediately since dual use kinda makes me sick on my stomach. I wished I could dual but I tend not to be able to handle it. Not sure what it is, probably the nic. I used to be a heavy smoker and I'll chain vape or chain analog in a heartbeat ....ugh.
Not my day. ...

I hope you decide to just keep your vape gear until you’re in a better place emotionally to decide if you really want to get rid of it all.

This is a really tough time of the year for a lot of people myself included. I try not to make any “big” decisions until things are a bit more level and I’m usually glad I did.

I hope you feel better soon.

Fellow dual user here.
At first I stayed jacked up on nicotine but discovered some days I smoke more and vape less. Other days I vape lots and hardly smoke.

Now that I've been vaping a while I have times I smoke like morning coffee. And times I vape like after supper.

No perfect method. Nor perfect gear. You just have to find what suits YOU.

I was joking about the "only $1700?" line because starting in about July to Halloween I was into the hobby by about $1500. By Thanksgiving I had picked a pod system that smokes like a tastey cigarette and my other stuff is tucked away. No regrets buying it because now I know what I didn't like.

Perhaps another $30 for a refillable pod system. I use regular sauce instead of high dose nic salt. My vice is a Zero by Vapresso with 6ml juice. Mrs. States likes the EQ by Innokin with 3ml juice. Her big gear is also tucked away now.

Hang in there. You'll be ok.

Breaking my heart you're hurting Jen. My advice...keep your 3 favorite setups and the diy stuff for at least two years. Put the gear and coil/wick products in a good box and stick in a closet or drawer. DIY nic in the freezer and flavors in a plastic tub (put those in a cool dark spot). Sell the rest.

Agreed. And sell it off in parts to get the most back from your gear.

I quit smoking after 40 years by starting Vaping. I went from cigarettes and tobacco pipes to Vaping overnight. And it was not easy. But after a few days, I had no desire for tobacco products anymore.
I think the health benefits of vaping of smoking speak for themselves. I can't relate to "dual-user" as I never went that route, but I would heartily encourage you to give vaping, alone, a serious try for 30 days. By then you would be smelling your clothes, and ashtrays, in a way you probably cannot by now. And Food will actually taste good again. You might even be able to smell the cool, crisp pleasant air of the early morning within a month.
I don't know how old you are, or how long you have been smoking tobacco, but I can promise you if you continue smoking the best things awaiting you would be A) wheezing at night while trying to go to sleep, B) being out of breath simply climbing one flight of stairs, C) constantly coughing up substances you know don't belong in you body, and D) self-loathing for letting something control your life in such a way. Of course, the less pleasant results could include A) Lung Cancer (like my wife), B) Throat Cancer, C) emphysema, and D) Heart Disease.
Doesn't that sound enjoyable ?
I would hope that you give Vaping (alone) a serous try. You owe as much to yourself. Just my Opinion ....

Couldn't have said it better myself … Yep, smoking is horrid in so many ways … People might be able to get away with it for quite a few years but it will eventually kill you.... My Mother died from lung cancer due to long-term smoking and so I know first hand what the crap can do to a person.
