#1 i would like to make my entry morri's incredible story, god bless you!

aww you guys are so great. I was hoping the story would touch you as much as that little couple against the world touched me. If it affected you enough to make it your entry.... I am blessed. :)

p.s. Vulcan was just telling me a story of his own in the PM. nothing to do with the contest. :)

hugs
morri

I think.........but not sure the winner will be done by random.org, but he wanted us all to know how important our stories are to each other.

#1. My son got into drugs and and alcohol. He became a full out addict at 18. My baby boy....I had to let him go.
He has recently, through hell and back....found a sober house with 20 other addicts. He is now 19 and he has worked on his recovery through the 12 steps.
After writing for 6 hours a day for 30 days he has a conscious contact with God.
He is now acting and making a mends with the people he has stolen from, and hurt in the past year.

By his actions and being committed to working the 12 steps program of AA he has tough me more about giving back than I ever realized possible.
As a mother that loves her son I now know the healing powers of being honest with myself and being the best person I can be.

I thought it was the other way around. That your kids learn by example of there parents...but I realized through all my pain and suffering because he was in so much pain at such a young age, he has taught me the true meaning of love.

Entry #2 Things that make you wonder........

We were on our way yesterday morning to my doctor appointment and drove thru a very very small town.... really small. On the billboard of the little baptist church this sign....... "Bikers Welcome" made me smile.

I attend Calvary Chapel in Spokane and we have a biker ministry called Soul Patrol. Google it if you'd like! I just got back from a bible study with the fellas. Non bikers (me) are also welcome.

Thank you, that means alot to me, really!!!I have been through a lot, yes. I try and stay positive though and I feel blessed every day. There are several people in this world that have it so much worse than I! I can't walk or run, but thats about the only things I can't do. I have an amazing family (here on ECF too) and friends. I have a roof over my head and never go hungry. Yea.... Life is pretty darn good! :)

Morri... Your first entry... Oh how I cried... It's people like you...

You see...

#1 When I got out of 6th grade, my parents decided after certain events that a city ghetto was no place for me and my brother. On a leap of faith, we packed up the van and headed out. We had a plan, at first, until the van died, several states away and literally in the middle of nowhere. The entire story is far to long to post, but these acts of kindness such as yours, Morri, were exactly what got us through. We were hitchhiking, as it was our only choice, and it was late. We finally got a ride, and gratefully were dropped off at a motel I think, I don't too much remember. What I do recall is the amazing person who picked us up that night, drove so far to find us the next morning, bring us breakfast, and take us as far as they could. And throughout the adventure there were many amazing people, who did amazing things! Thank you, Morri, for being one of these amazing type of people. I've been through some serious struggles in my life, I graciously accept them knowing there's a reason for everything and somewhere down the road the things I've been through will help me help someone else.

But Morri, I really want you to know that people like you are the reason people like me can maintain some amount of faith. What you did for that couple will be paid forward, and will not be forgotten. I know. I've been on similar roads. Thank you.

#5 More country...why..as a child I went there often ...I have such wonderful memories of it...the beauty..the 'green'...it's so special to me. The farms..fresh fruit and veggies..picking black berries....crickets at night..loved it so. Surrounded by concrete now, every time I see a photo like this I 'imagine' I can walk right into it...and I thought it would start everyone's day off just right too...it's so touching..all of these special stories and photos thoughts..they make me feel so warm inside...and cry and smile....well they just inspire me so....just loving this ....and see just how special you are Vulcan..!.......*
