We both still work day jobs too. I'm a database analyst. So it's better for us to have these events when we're not working, so we can deal with the influx of orders.
It always seemed like a silly holiday to me, personally... Let's celebrate the spirit of the American worker, and the American work ethic! How are we going to celebrate it? Take a day off, of course! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a day off! Any day I don't have to set an alarm clock is a good day! Of course, my 8 month old daughter takes care of that anyway, sooo....

Saw them several times at the Cat's Cradle (which is about 1/4 mile from my home). And a ton of other great groups... The mid 90s were a huge time for music around here. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to keep up with it the way I used to... I guess that's what happens when you get old!
