After really thinking about it (YEA - I know stupid), below is my entry and the reason/s WHY? his name should be the following choice. . .
“Duane/Dwayne Cletus Varnell” and his hound “Woofers” . . .
Duane/Dwayne: (spelling your choice) - Old English/Celtic for “Dark from the Dunes”
Cletus: After the famous hillbilly (aka as the “Local Yokel”) cartoon character from the TV series The Simpsons, he’ll come a running every time he hears grits are bein served.
Varnell: Town in Georgia
Woofers: Any other name that does not specifically relate to the Dog might confuse most of the locals when the "Dagg" is being called.
BTW: Please note his initials . . . .

"Jim-Bo": Shorten from James Robert – Jim means “He who replaces” and Bo means “Bright Fame” (Get it?)
