I'm debating on upgrading to a segeli 100w. I'm looking to keep things pretty simple and getting the best vape I can without breaking the bank. I'm currently running a mvp2 with a kanger sub tank. I guess I'm wanting to use the subtank to its potential, obviously I can't with my current setup. Will the segeli be that much of an upgrade compared to my current setup?

Get the sigelei 100 watt plus.. It's great. I know the aspire Atlantis really works best between 30 and 40 watts and the subtank should be the same but I don't have a subtank so can't really say.

Yeah, the subtank does not need as much power as the atlantis actually, running it on the high end will actually fry that poor cotton wicking in it

Same'll happen to both if running at too high a wattage: burning up the cotton, though the subtank seems to produce more vapor per given wattage until you start hitting 35W. I tried the subtank on a 30w, going from 10-30W and for the eliquid I was trying (30/70 mix) ~25w seemed to be it's sweet-spot. You shouldn't ever need more than 50W for a subtank unless you do interesting things with the RDA module.

That said, the sigelei is a really nice device. There were some issues with part of the run on black models early on, but it was resolved and in general people seem very happy with them.
