Good Morning. I have a KR808D-1 battery and a boatload of empty cartomizers. I went this route because a 2 piece system seemed easier than a 3 piece.

I'm happy with it except for the battery life. I ordered the CigEasy Elegant (battery does last a long time) but it isn't a real easy pull and seems to work best with the cigeasy cartos. I want more flexibility.

I've been reading about the JOye ego and the Hello 16. I read that they now have a cartomizer for the ego. So my question is, if I order one of those is there a way to adapt my current cartomizers so that they would fit either of these? Does the Hello 16 even have cartomizers? Do the Ego cartos work on the Hello16?

I guess my main question is could I convert my current cartos to work on either of these models?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi frisco. I'm using a Riva battery (same as eGo) with this adapter: 510 to 901/808-D Adapter and kr808 cartos. It's a really nice combination. Since you already have the Elegant though, you might want to try something first. Take one of your cartos and cut the wrapper around the point where the carto sticks out of the cone with an exacto knife and remove the wrapper from that point down to the connecter. This makes the carto fit less tightly at the top of the cone and this is where you get your air flow. By removing this layer of tape you open up the airway making the draw much easier.
I don't think another device with a cone is going to solve the draw problem. The Elegant looks exactly like my Riva (750 mAh battery and all) with a kr808/901 connecter so I don't think spending another $50.00 is going to help you much

When i was using the ego, I drilled the cone to make it a little wider at the top so the cartos would not clog the airway. Its simple to do, and it keeps one from having to remove the wrapper on every carto. The size i used was 13/32". I drilled from the inside, big open end towards the cone. I did 10 cones in less than 2 minutes and never had another problem with airflow. The ego with adapter for the 808 carto was awesome.

Duh. That makes sense. Don't know why I didn't think of that. Well, I'm off to the shop. Later.
