I have been using KR808D-1 since October. They have been good to me so far, except for the battery life. I am looking for something that will last longer than a couple hours and uses a cartomizer. I am interested in the Elegant by CigEasy or the Go-Go, also by CigEasy. Does anyone have personal experience with these or another pv to suggest? Thanks in advance :)

Beaverton, Oregon!
Or the PigCig is supposed to be KR8 compatible - another fat-battery KR8
PigCig by LeCig

Or you could go Ego and use KR8 cartos with an adapter, 510 blank soft cap cartos, tanks with the Ego tank atomizer, etc

I don't have any of those but I'm interested in the answers.

I second the Pigcig! It's the 808d's answer to eGo. It's like an eGo for the 808 user. (so your current cartos will work with it ;))

But CigEasy also has Ego-alike for KR808D-1

Be interesting if anyone has more than one fat-battery KR8 model

Oh, I just looked and that's the elegant easy! Duh(on me)!

So to answer the OP:

Elegant easy will work with your current cartomizers (as will pigcig) but the go-go won't.

I've found that the PigCig isn't really compatible with all kr8 cartos. The PigCig has the air channel/slot cut into the battery end for use with flat-topped cartos, while other kr8 cartos from V4L, V2, etc have the notch in the carto with a flat-topped battery. Trying to use V4L cartos on a PigCig, I didn't get a good battery connection and too much airflow (might be solvable with the V4L carto "hack" where you pull the connector up slightly in the carto). Trying to use LeCig's mega cartos on a V4L passthrough didn't work at all because the battery/carto contact was flat-on-flat allowing no airflow at all. One possibility would be to use a 901->808 adapter and see if that helps (yes, 901 and 808 are threaded the same, but the adaptor for the 901 provides airflow for 808 cartos on a 901 battery that don't otherwise exist because the 901 has air holes in the atty instead. By using such an adapter, you might be able to get proper airflow using a regular kr8 carto on a PigCig or vice versa). I haven't tried that, though.

I don't know if the Elegant Easy has the same problem. I thought I had seen photos of the Elegant Easy battery end showing that it had the same channel-on-battery design as the PigCig, which means it would have the same issues.

Thanks for the replies. I am still on the fence.
I like the Elegant Easy because it will work with my existing carts and additional carts are sold about everywhere.
I like the the sounds of the Go-Go because of not only the long battery life, but the capacity of the cart (up to 3ml). I have only found 2 vendors, CigEasy and nHaler...so when new carts are needed, I would only have these 2 vendors to choose from. I like to have options, just in case they are out of stock, or whatever the reason may be.
I will check out the PigCig, this one is new to me.

I had both the Elegant Easy and the PigCig. Sold the Easy as I liked the PigCig better and had no problems with my V4L cartos. There are times that I have to lift the middle post on V4L cartos to make a connection even on a V4L battery, but not often. I killed my PigCig batt by cleaning it a little "too" well - it was completely my fault. I have tried the RIVA 901 and didn't like it at all - shotty connection, made poorly IMO. I plan on purchasing another 808 Fat Bat and it will be a PigCig.

If you get a PigCig, definitely grab some of LeCig's mega cartos. They hold 1.8mL, so not quite the 3mL of a Go-Go but quite a bit more than a regular kr8 carto (for comparison, I can usually fit 25-30 drops in a regular carto but can get 50-55 drops in one of the megas).

I have both the PigCig and the Elegant. I have never had a problem using 808 cartos from any other vendor (V4L, Cigeasy, Nhaler, to name a few) with the PigCig. However, it is true that the 808 cartos I have from LeCig (for the PigCig) do not work on the Elegant or any of my V4L batteries because the LeCig cartos don't have air slots in them.

I have a major problem with the PigCig and that is that what starts out as a beautiful chrome finish (just the band, on mine, since the rest is black) becomes a tarnished and UGLY blackish-steel color after just a few days of use. I called the vendor about it. I was told that they know about the problem and it affects the silver and gold colors as well as the silver band on black (sheesh! glad mine's only the band, not the whole thing), that there's no known polish they're aware of that will restore the color and that they're working with their vendor to see if they can put "a coating" or something on them to prevent it (in the future). No offer to resolve my problem of any sort. I responded by ordering an Elegant - which is beautiful! It's a little smaller (shorter) than the PigCig, very good looking (with no tarnishing issues) and it actually lasts longer between battery charges (750 mah vs. 650 for the PigCig). Plus, it was cheaper. No brainer for me - I definitely prefer the Elegant.

And the others are right - the GoGo has it's own cartos that aren't compatible with any other brand right now, though I hear 510 adapters for it may be in the works. Haven't heard anything about 808 adapters.

I have XL 808 cartos from Nhaler that are about the same size as the LeCig megas and work great with the Elegant Easy.

i don't think you will regret getting the elegant. that is what i use. i purchased the two e legant kit. so i use one while the other is charging. i get four hours out of a charge, vaping non-stop. it only takes one and half hours to charge, so i am never out of an elegant to use.
i use the cool carts from vapor for life as they have the best quality control of the cartomizers i have used.
happy vaping

I love my T-Rex with 900mah battery, so I don't see why you'd go wrong with either or the PigCig. Heck, I likely could have gotten by with the standard 600mah model, and I find I'm still using D-1 cartos for fruit flavors.

Not a big difference, but the PigCig just felt better in my hand and I liked the cone better. I never had a problem with discoloration. They both vaped well so you didn't make a bad decision!

Hi Samsmom,

It's probably too late to ask this now. (I just ordered my Elegant Easy last night) But, what made you choose the PigCig over the Elegant Easy?

I chose it because it had a 750mah vs. the PigCig's 650mah batt.

Thanks,

Otto

Just got the PigCig myself a couple of days ago--my first big battery. As far as the look and feel of it go, it's great. Love the battery iife (spent the couple of extra bucks for the 900 mah model), but I'm having a lot of trouble out of using my V4L cartos--and my attempts to raise the post to get a better connection have ruined more than a couple.

It seems that someone (Dormouse, I think, but memory fails) had mentioned elsewhere that the 808 and 901 were threaded similarly; has anyone tried using an LR 901 atty and drip tip on a PigCig?

I have an Elegant for one reason. It's the only battery I can count on my bloog MF, Nhaler jumbo and Ikenvape mega cartos to work on without burning(3.4-3.2V compared to 4.2-3.7V). The huge carto capacity and long battery life makes this setup lasts all day without having to recharge or topoff/refill.

I recently went from standard KR808 batteries to a Riva 901
Liberty Flights has a great deal on a dual battery kit. $30 if you use the discount code "ECF".
Good Prophets has a 99¢ "901batt-to-808carto" adapter.
Great low cost combination to stay with the KR808 cartomizers and get the advantages of a fat battery.

I knock go-gos for new users but, not for people that are experienced. Also, cigeasy now has an adapter to use your KR808 cartomizers on the go-go. I don't have one but, those that do claim that the go-go is a great all day vape and they are nearly fanatical about it. So, it's probably pretty good. I'd say if you're looking to move up and the go-go sounds interesting, go ahead and get the go-go and the adapter. The go-go carto mouthpiece is reputed to be pretty big. You might want to get an 801 drip tip for it. They are supposed to fit. If you want to be able to drip on it, get a 901 atomizer and a drip tip for that. With the adapter, it should work too.
