About 3 or 4 weeks ago I bought a Joye 510 from Cignot. This is an amazing device, and I've had absolutely no problems with it. But, like most other vapors, they always want something BETTER! And, so do I.

So, I've decided to upgrade to an SrewDriver MKII. I made this decision not because I have an issue with changing the batteries of the 510, but having a much longer batter life would alleviate the worry of wondering how long the battery life will last and it will produce constant quality vapor production, which all of us want.

Note: I did consider the Torando(eGo), but the SD is currently on sale and I like the LONG battery life. And, I'm not basing this decision on the appearance or size of the PV. I honestly have no preference because I really only use my e-cig in front of my computer.

Current Sale Price:
$52.49 - Screwdriver E-NI-MKII-Base Kit (Reg. $69.99)
$9.74 - DSE901 Atomizer
$5.99x2 - Empty Carts
$74.21

Does anyone have any suggestions, recommendations, or guidance on this purchase?

if you really only use it in front of your computer, why not go with a passthrough? you never have to worry about battery life. Then you can still use your 510 when you are not in front of your computer.

It's cheaper too.

I'd agree with the Cowboy there!

Personally, I've never had a screwdriver mod, but I just LOVE my Ego. If you have the funds to do so, I'd HIGHLY recommend it.

i have SD. ego, passthru, and i now only use the passthru for dry burns on sluggish attys...
and a pass thru will work with a powerd usb thing, make sure it pushes 1000milamps and 5vdc, dont trust in computer port if a short happens...just sayin...

Sorry, not exactly sure what this means.

Everyone brrings up very valid points about the usb pass-thru, and I must thank you all for this. I mean, I love my 510, and I already have a stable amount of carts to use, it was just the battery life that really through me off.

So wait, when I purchase a pass-thru, is this basically a battery that hooks straight up to my usb, no charging and a constant/unlimited usage? If this is true, it means that if I go anywhere, I'll have two fully charged batteries. THAT WOULD BE AMAZING!

Any suggestions of where to buy a reliable one?

that's exactly what it means. no batteries when you are around your computer. It screws right onto the attys and you vape to your heart's content.

I can't recommend any good places since I only have a PT for my 808, but I'm sure others will recommend some places for you. I would also recommend looking for one that does not have an inline battery, they seem to be giving people issues.

    Somewhere between here and there
I think that the passthru is a good choice for use at the computer. I can also say that the screwdriver from trog is a fantastic device. I have had one for several months and it has become one of my top two pv's. It is trouble free and the battery life is pretty good. I do think that the RN4075 atomizers perform better than the 901's though.

ah no. some 510's have a battery inline and get charged when plugged in, it will work while unpluged not sure of run time i have seen the batt and it was 10444 or something. there is still a wire to the batt...and the atty tube.
a SD you carry a spare batt and you are good for over 12 hours when batt is new...the choices now with SD's 901,801,510 all good, all the time,
my ego is used with a 901 cuz i likke that atty...and a 801 too.

    Some comments:
    1) If you really just want to vape in front of the computer a passthru is much cheaper.
    2) The DSE905 you are getting uses the DSE901 atomizer. It isn't the same as the Joye 510. The atomizer doesn't get quite as hot. This means more flavor but less vapor and TH in comparison.
    3) I don't believe this company is a registered supplier here but I've had good results from them. They offer free shipping on purchases over $20 which the screwdriver easily passes. Their starter is 2 bucks more but offers 10 cartridges all filled with the same thing from a choice of strengths and flavors. eSmokeClub - Starter Kit - Club Screwdriver III - DSE905
