So it seems I've been the trend setter at work. Iv'e converted numerous analog smokers towards e-cigs. This includes at least 5 people from work, 2 from xbox live  , and 1 ex girlfriend:p. Turns out I might be a good salesman. I'm thinking I should start getting referral points to use on my purchases

Anyone else rubbing off on the analog community?

Def trend setting on my end. First kid out of all the people I know to make the switch and soon after alot followed.I got a few of my friends to make the switch and they love it. They love not paying up to or higher then 10 a pack, not stanking, no burn holes in cars or jeans, tricking those girls who say they'd never date a smoker but they don't know about your nicotine love because you don't have the tell tale signs ;). I never force or preach the benefits of vaping to people, I don't like being preached too so I don't do it to others. The convertee's usually happen like this, I pull out my PV, take some drags, and most people are super intrigued by it. asking questions on price, does it actually work (I tell them of course, & tell them how long I've used it) and most importantly "does it feel/taste like a cigarette?" thats when I offer them a hit and their impressed at the nice flavor (usually ry4) and how "Its just like a cigarette!". I tell them about all the flavors from traditional ones to the wacky ones like tuna or ribs, which peeks their interest even more. Next question usually is "Where can I get 1!?!?!", hook them up with a business card of my usual supplier, they end up leaving cigs behind and I end up getting some freebies for the reference and help extend their cash flow and their lung life. Its win win for both side. My family loves it too, no more reeking garage, butts on the lawn, and no more freezing outside to smoke. vaping has made my life and others so much gnarlier. Love to help others out if possible

I generally carry a spare EMDCC tip with me and will actively walk up to smokers and talk to them about the beneifts of vaping. During the process I find it preferrable that I am vaping while they are smoking. If they express any interest at all, I let them take a toot from my rig, after warning them about the massive TH they are about to experience, and a short instruction about how to properly draw on a PV.

Typically they are expecting some wimpy kind of analog type ecig experience and the shock of real, genuine TH and the huge cloud of vapor generally ellicits some kind of expletive laden response from them. Followed by something akin to "Wasn't expecting that."

Then I begin to tell them how little it costs me to vape every month. If they aren't hooked by then the preaching of health issues won't matter. I know when I was a smoker, I hated people telling me about the risks of smoking...so I don't do it to others until they express some interest in continuing vaping rather than smoking...almost as if it were a side benefit rather than a primary reason.

Basically, I let the PV do the work. When I can afford it, I also purchase inexpensive 510 kits and give them to folks that really seem like they will continue the process. To date I've given away FAR more PVs that I have ever owned for myself. Not that I'm such a "great person" or anything...I have a hidden agenda. I want more vapers out there than smokers.

I got my mom off smokes a 42 year die hard smoker. My baby sister, her hubby, my brother and his wife, 2 neighbors with young children (that wont lose their parents to cancer) and a guy my Hubby works with. I LOVE it!!!!!!!! All those unused kits I collected and must have purchases I never used were well worth the waisted cash.

I placed an order, yesterday, for the lady who gives our daughters horseback riding lessons, while I was out at her ranch (Yay for 4 bars on 4G!).

It took her a month to finally decide to take the plunge. I think that what finally did it was my mention, last week, of how much she's spent on cigs since we have been talking about vaping as an alternative.

Now I'm working on her friends.

So far I have converted my mother who was a hardcore smoker for 53 years. She had alot of breathing problems and had to use an inhaler on a regular basis. Now she is analog free for over 5 weeks now, no coughing, sleeping better, blood pressure is closer to normal and has not had to use her inhaler since she quit analogs. She is in love with vaping.

Next was my daughter, while she wasnt a very hardcore smoker she was slowly getting there.

And the latest is my sister-in-law, who is only a couple days in on a 510 she borrowed from my mom but is really impressed how easy it is to drop analogs. She called me last night to inquire about online stores so she could order a kit for herself.

A woman who works on another floor of my building came running into my office to bum a couple of cigarettes. She was trying to quit and didn't want to buy a pack (We've all been there, right?). I showed her my electric hooka-doodle and told her I'd quit smoking. Then I remembered a couple of 510 sticks I kept in my desk drawer, pulled them out along with a spare charger and 10 ml bottle of 18mg hypnotic mist. I filled a Vortex, screwed on the battery and showed her how to use it.

A few days later, she came running in again (she's a type A, runs a lot), and said "I want to buy this from you. I like this better than smoking." I gave her some URLs - for ECF and some vendors who sell decent starter kits - and she's sticking with it. It's been a couple of weeks, and she ran in again a couple of days ago to ask to use my charger - she left hers at home. If she'd ever stop running, I'd take some time to help her find a better set-up - she tends to come running in when I'm on the phone with a client or something, but at least she's found something that makes her happy without analogs.

yop I converted 6 people already (I work for a very well known online payment company) we love it.

the trick to converting people is simple, don't market it as if it was to quit smoking, I tell people "I loved smoking but hated cigarettes, now I can continue smoking but with something much better, it still has nicotine and I'm still getting the throat hit, here try it..."

psychologically the moment you tell people "No / Stop / You must not" etc... It won't work
if you tell them "Yes, you can continue, there is something EVEN better, you don't need to quit" ....

People are like, this is a miracle...finally....let me try :)

That's the trick and that's why it works

I just got a phone call from a friend that I haven't seen in about a month.

She had smoked most of her life, and she had tried a mini-e-cig without good results. But she'd seen me cutting back and quitting with my eGo. She told me that 10 days ago she went and bought an eGo kit, and hasn't had a cig for 9 days. Also, her adult daughter who lives with her has been using the other battery from that kit, and she has quit smoking, too. :)

I'm a bit of an odd duck, so.... my co-workers seeing me do something strange... is normal for them.

When I dropped the death sticks for my vaporizer, they all game me the usual looks. A few of them tried it, heard the speech about living longer and saving money....

It took about a month. I've got two converted. More will come.
