so got a cold the other day. ADV's just not same :( lol. congested , stuffy nose. my wife made a joke about making a vicks vape. made me think about this crazy strong menthol of a friends I tried once. since i never was a menthol smoker I never thought Id have a need for a menthol flavor. so I tried doing 10% TFA mint candy and a couple drops of koolada. this is awesome for my cold ! cool and minty. even making my nose runny and thats helping lol. so now I want to add some menthol to my stash. my question is, are all the menthol flavors the same - ish ? what's everyones favorite icy minty menthol flavor ? I could never add menthol to my adv's but for a day I could handle it in times like these would be pretty sweet:vapor:

I dislike menthol intensely, however Halo's Kringle's Curse is a really good strong peppermint; I use it to freshen my palate when my ADV doesn't seem to have much taste, and it works great for that. It also really will open your sinuses, and it feels nice and cool on your throat. And, one more point in its favor, it's not too sweet! In fact, hardly sweet at all. Recently I got some Cinnamon Redhot that was FAR too sweet; I mixed up 1/3 of that sweet redhot with 2/3 of the Kringle's Cruse -- it tastes like Doublemint gum!

I've heard that Kringle's is also good for mixing with other flavors, chocolate, vanilla, etc; probably it's good for mixing because it's NOT too sweet.

I had a godawful cold when I first got here and started vaping... no wonder it was hard to taste/smell anything, and everything smelled WEIRD. But getting rid of all that congestion post-cold seemed to get rid of probably 90% of all the tar stored up in there for 39 yrs.

Hope you feel better soon...

Andria

I'm with Andria on the Kringle's Curse. I also use it when my "taster" isn't working. And have mixed it with some not very good chocolate to make a really good chocolate mint.:vapor:

Yeah? I have this one, CCvapes' "Geneva"... great smell, no taste I can discern. Maybe I'll try some Kringles with it, see if I can make it better.

Of course I also discovered a similar "great smell, no taste" with the Halo Belgian Cocoa everyone raves about... not sure why, unless it needs to steep for several weeks. It tastes like the paper a chocolate comes wrapped in, and smells like I'm sitting here drinking cocoa. I'll keep it in the drawer for a few more weeks and see if it improves any.

I didn't care for the Belgian Cocoa from Halo either. It is still in the cupboard "steeping." May be there this time next year.
