OK guys...speak to me like I'm an idiot! lol I've tried to figure out what I'm doing, but am having a difficult time figuring out my new e-cig because of all of the abbreviations, etc that people use when giving advice to other people. So....here's my situation...

Got an Ego-t with a 650 mah battery about 3 weeks ago and, for the most part, love it. When I got it, I also picked up a couple of different juices that the local store had (Southern Smoke tobacco 18% and a grape 16%.) They also gave me a Vapor Vixen small sample. I've cleaned the atty once using hot water, because it just wasn't producing as well about a week ago. Now, today, it seems like the vapor is much cooler than it used to be.....MUCH COOLER Now, I've used the different liquids at various times...so I'm not sure if this is a juice issue....or the battery. I just want a nice throat hit that will replicate my good ol' Marlboro Lights. I am enjoying the flavors though...the grape is nice and the Vapor Vixens (which was my favorite) was a cotton candy. So, again, is this a liquid issue....a battery issue...an atty issue....I'm just lost. I know I need to order some more tanks and juice...I just want to make sure that I order the right stuff if this is a juice issue. Please help! I'm doing so good and I want to keep it going!

...don't know for sure but, I would say it is an atty issue...attys will slowly give up the ghost, increasing their ohm rating as they get dirty and used...soaking in alcohol for a couple of hours and then rinsing in hot water, blowing out the excess and allowing to dry may help...that's all I got for ya, others may chime in with more ideas................

To keep you going until you get your atty situation sorted out, you could get a box or two of boge 2.0 cartomizers. Good Prophets has them on sale for $5.99 and 5% off with the code TVCFriend.

The is an atomizer/cartridge combined. You drip about 1 ml of your juice into the cartomizer and place it on your battery.
Boge 510 Cartomizers for 510 or eGo

I know this isn't what you asked, you need help getting your ego-T to work. This is a solution until someone can give you some help with your ego-T. I had problems myself with the tanks and now just use the cartomizers.

But someone will help you get it working! Welcome to the forum.

Swedishfish's suggestion is excellent. I almost exclusively use cartomizers because they are so simple. I'm not constantly monkeying around, cleaning and dripping, hoping my $8 atomizer won't stop firing. I get so frustrated with atomizers. I just buy a box of cartos, fill one up, and start vaping. Plenty of people use atomizers and love them. It's just not for me. Try a box (as mentioned above, they are very inexpensive) and see if you like 'em. Good luck!

When I cleaned my eGo-T attys, I would soak them in vodka for an hour or two, then blow hot water through them (get the faucet as hot as you can stand, fill the atty from the mouth end, blow the water through from the tank end) several times, then let them dry for a day or two in a box with a towel in it.

I still have all of my eGo-T attys, and I rotated them around for about 2 months.

Best of luck!

I would agree with MadJack. My new Ego-T attys worked good for around two weeks and then started having probs. No heat, tight draw, etc. Cleaning them in isopropyl alcohol or hot water helps, but you'll never get it as good as a new one.

I loved the tanks like everyone else but ended up using (and still am using) Boge LR cartos. Much less costly at around 1.50 and you can just throw them away when you feel like they aren't peforming good enough.

I agree with MadJack. It does sound like an atty issue. Sometimes simple cleaning isn't enough. They need to be dismantled and a thorough cleaning complete with dry burn and wick adjustment. Sound complicated? It is for me. The simple solution is to get a new atty about once a month or when simple rinsing doesn't do it anymore. They aren't that expensive when you consider the price of cigarettes and chalk it off to maintenence. If it's genuine Ego batt you may consider a lr atty for a warmer fuller vapor but don't go too far below 2.0 or you may start having switch problems. The lr from Cignot are about $10 and I had good luck with them. I've had tank attys that lasted several months and some that just lasted a couple of weeks when I was using the tank system. Sweedishfish's suggestion about having cartos on hand would be an excellent idea. Again with the voltage a genuine Ego batt runs at the 2.0 Boges produce well.

I agree with swedishfish. Get some cartomizers that are basically throw aways after a few days to a week of use. That 650 mAh battery is the smallest one they have for an eGo. I would also look into getting one of their 1000 mAh batteries.

If really nice, warm vaper is what you want, you should also consider a good 5 volt (eGo is only 3.4 volts) or variable volt model. Much warmer vapor and more consistent vapor. Here's the ones I would look at:

5 volt GLV 2 or 3: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

5 volt Box Mod: 5v Regulated Mod | Ken's Box Mods

Variable volt Darwin: Nhaler

Attys can get gunked up and then don't perform as well. And if you use juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment, attys will gunk up faster.

If they are thinner juices you could try just about any kind of cartomizer, most popular being Boge. The 2.0 ones ones are the hotter ones. But again, juices that drop a lot of sediment will cut short the life of a carto. With thin clear juices that drop little or no sediment I can get at least a week of use out of a cartomizer. A bit of a learning curve with filling them properly, letting them settle, keeping them damp (especially with the LR 2.0 ones - you may want to learn on the more forgiving 3.0 ohm standard resistance ones). I use juices with 20% or less VG.

Nice thing about cartos - they keep your flavors totally separate and each one has its own new fresh atomizer built in.

Thank you, everyone, for your responses! Here's another question...my first introduction to e-cigs was a starter kit that I picked up from 7-11 called xHale02. Came with a battery, charger, atty and carts. It produced a lot of vapor, but the throat hit and taste were virtually non-existent. That's when I went into my local smoke shop and they showed me the ego-t that I ended up purchasing. I'm not sure if that's because the cartridges suck or the atty does on the xHale02. Could I try to drip on this thing? Anyone familiar with this model? Also, I charged up the battery on my ego-t and replaced the tank and the performance is a bit better. I'll clean it tonight with alc and let it dry overnight. We'll see how that goes.
