So my friend ordered a coolfire2, he currently has 3 trustfire 18350 800mah button top imr batteries with trustfirw charger. Im wondering are these sufficient, or safe for use in that mod? Innokens website does not.give battery specs (if better or safer reasonabley priced batts are available could you give some links?) I dont want to give incorrect information (my.understanding is they are safe)

The safest battery would be a safe-chemistry battery by a recognized name-brand manufacturer. These are the IMR (Li-Ion) and hybrid batteries listed in the below link. Find these at RTD Vapor Batteries:

BATTERY BASICS FOR MODS: IMR OR PROTECTED ICR?

Trustfire, Surefire, and Ultrafire are not considered to be recognized quality batteries, at least not for APV usage. I can speak from personal experience on that (see the below pic of the battery which exploded in my mechanical mod). The Trustfire charger is a bottom of the barrel cheap charger that I'd never consider using myself. A Pila, Xtar, or Nitecore Intellicharger is what is recommended for APV batteries. Where is the best place/price for aw batteries?

AW's are faked all over the place. You have to buy them from a reputable supplier to know you are getting real AW batteries. If they are on eBay or Amazon that guarantees they are fakes. I get mine from RTD Vapor - registered ECF supplier with a good reputation.
