The AW batteries from Kalamazoo are a name brand that is pretty well trusted here on ECF, Crystal Clear vaping doesn't tell what brand they are selling. I'd therefore assume that they're generics. Like with anything else, buy a well known brand and you can be pretty sure you're getting a quality product. Buy a generic and you may get lucky, but you may get an inferior product.

I've got lots of AW batt's and that's all I plan to buy in the foreseable future.

I've bought both of them, actually. That's a bit of a price difference for s/one on a budget, tho. Buying a well known brand is kinda like never picking the store version of mac&cheese - it's just not always practical. Now, if s/one told me there was a chance they could explode, then that would be s/thing else. But if it's just a difference of how good they are in terms of life cycle or s/thing like that, then I think I'll take my chances and see how it turns out. ;)

Using the batts from CCV right now in my Ovale V8. Mine are the same size.
Not sure about the discounted ones but they *may* not be sold in pairs - also, from the site, it give the reason why the other ones are discounted:
"Please take note for VMAX users the reason these are discounted because they are fraction longer then the 18350's designed for the VMAX, It's the only reason they are discounted,"

On the page I originally linked to, it specifically says they're sold in pairs so maybe the second link mentioned is only for singles and it still lists why they are discounted.

Btw - mine are the same size as the AW's I just took out of the same device.

Why would someone buy a generic chinese knockoff instead of a genuine AW brand just to save 74 cents? Seems like false economy to me, especially considering all the money we spend on vaping products. Even if the generic one fits and seems to work ok, isn't peace of mind worth something?

Speaking of false economy, here's an example: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/306138-18350-battery-life.html

I don't mean to be harsh, but I've never understood this thinking. I ride motorcycles, and I know guys that spend $25,000 on bikes and another $10,000 on useless chrome and doodads, and then run around all over town looking for the cheapest oil to use in it.

The difference between the 2 that I originally posted is nearly 10 bucks, not 74 cents. Never had a problem w/ anything from CCV so if they really are chinese knockoffs, then I'd prefer to spend that 10 bucks on s/thing other than name brand so long as the cheaper ones work.

I do have both... just used the AW's and now I'm using the ones from CCV. While the latter *may* not last as long after so many recharges, they're still currently working just as good as the former.
Besides, it's not like I'm using them in a device that's going to save my life. ;) (or a Provari, if you prefer)
