Well, here is my first successful attempt to make one for myself. I tried and failed the magnum mod. I needed something that is modular since I haven't decided on what kind of battery or atomizer I want to stick with. I also want the USB connection for the convenience of not relying on batteries. I made this monster mainly with copper pipe couplings. The first is connected to dead RN4081 battery connector with a wire soldered to the center. The second holds the switch with a spring soldered to connect to the positive of the battery. I made 2 different battery compartments from 3/4" pipe. A spring is connected to the end cap using a bolt and nut.

Things to test on:
- adding a 7805 5V 1A voltage regulator between the switch and the battery connector should limit the voltage to not above 5V to avoid killing the atomizer
- adding a 3rd dummy battery compartment to have the USB connection
- fitting the connection for 901 atomizer once I received my shipment
- I am still waiting for my shipment of CR123A and CR2 batteries from dealextreme

Copper is a heavy metal that is toxic in its unbound form. Almost all
of the copper in the body is bound to proteins, thereby reducing the
concentration of unbound copper ions to almost zero. Most diets contain
enough copper (2-5mg daily) to prevent a deficiency and not enough to
cause toxicity. The World Health Organization (WHO) suggests that
10-12mg per day may be the upper safe limit for consumption. If as
little as 2gms of a copper salt are ingested, usually with suicidal
intent, the resulting copper-induced hemolytic anemia and kidney damage
are generally fatal.
