I have recently purchased a copper tube mod and would like to know is there anything I can put on it or seal it with so it does not "brown" so quick?

I like to clean my mods about once a week but I don't want to have to shine it every other day.

In the UK its illegal to use copper for repairing car exhaust problems because it gives off toxic fumes at high temperatures.

Various copper compounds are used in fungicides.

OTOH - "Arts & crafts" Yuppies go crazy for copper cooking pots - Go figure!

Those "yuppies" you refer to are using copper cooking pots with a tin or steel lining... Heat transfer on copper pans beats out pretty much any other material and the weight keeps them on the stove without moving! The only time you use a plain copper kitchen item is a copper mixing bowl for mixing egg whites (yes, it really does make a difference as I've tested it myself!)

And copper mods are not the same as a copper atty...
