Late one night as I was sleeping lightly
I heard someone creeping along so quietly
So quietly that I knew that they were up to no good
They couldn't possibly be from my neighborhood
But thought I, could it possibly be a neighbors child so wee
Trying to trick me, on this all hallows eve
Their movement was so furtive
What, thought I, could be their motive
"Alas", I cried, "Who goes there"?
"'Tis I", croaked a voice so vile
Thought I, "This could not be a sweet little child"
No child, I'm sure, could sound so wild
Gathering my wits about me, I pulled open the door
Tell me child, what brings you to my humble home
And tell me true, are you here all alone
"No, cried the crone" and I am not a sweet child
And if you think I sound wild
Remember all those years ago
When we you and I were just a child
I've been with you wherever you lie
All those times you thought you were imagining things
And saw something out of the corner of your eye
That, dear sis, 'Twas I
Through the years you have offered me treats
Apples, oranges and other sweet meats
None of these things satisfied my sweet tooth
But never the less each Halloween I perched on your roof
And now that we both are older than dirt
It is time for me to tell you, although it may hurt
I vowed long ago that you really must die
'Cause when we were children you ate the last of the pie

Orange spheres of delight,
I'll have pumpkin pie tonight.
Vines and leaves under cover
an autumn treasure made by my Mother.
Melt in your mouth texture and taste
not one bit of my pumpkin pie will go to waste.
I'm the pumpkin hunter in the harvest light
if i'm stealth I'll capture the perfect one tonight
While I've distracted them with popcorn,
chocolate and cider in a cup,
while they're not watching,
I'll eat the pumpkin pie all up....

As I pondered weak and weary...(jk) Had to memorize this one in school

Visit haunted houses and scream
Ghost and goblins and vampires
No other holiday compares
Each year I ponder what I want to be
And wonder what I can do to me
Will I be a witch with tall pointed hat

Anyway, like I was sayin', pie is the fruit of the earth. You can, microwave it, broil it, bake it, deep fry it. Dey's uh, mini-pies, pumpkin pie, pie tarts. Pan patted, deep fried, oven baked. There's pineapple pie, lemon pie, coconut pie, taco pie, pot pie, pie pockets, chocolate cream pie, oreo pie, mud pie, sweet potato pie, cherry pie, rhubarb pie, strawberry pie, grape pie, blueberry pie, mincemeat pie,apple pie, blackberry pie, apricot pie, peach pie, pear pie, shepherd's pie, coconut cream pie, pecan pie, cheeseburger pie, raspberry pie, boysenberry pie, vanilla cream pie, pumpkin pie, turtle pie, pear pie, tomatillo pie, key lime pie, peanut butter pie . That- that's about it.

There was a young lad from Merced
Who's hair was a Copper Creek red
He was mistaken for PIE
And got a fork in the eye
So the poor lad is now quite DEAD!!
