Coppper pole

Hi guys! I just wanted to know if an atty with poles made of copper dangerous? Thanks in advance!

Copper contains lead wich can leech into your liquid hopefully the manufacturer uses copper with low lead content. Some say there is more lead in tooth fillings. Its all up to you if you want to use it or not.

Just an update, I got to talk to the person where I got my atty. And he said that it was safe because the copper poles need to reach its melting point for it to realease the lead. So I guess Ill stick with this atty for now. Heheh

It will never get hot enough to gas off anything. The biggest concern you should have it that copper tarnishes. On a few of my copper posted attys i noticed that if i didnt use them for a couple days the post would have a build up of that green oxide. I know that cant be healthy. I personally stopped using anything copper that contacts juice but if you keep it clean and use it alot i would think it would be fine.

I myself wouldn't use such an atty for reasons people have pointed out here.

Dang, Im about to replace the wick as of now. And as you mention the green thing that builds up. Its actually on the posts right now.
