I recently purchased a Corolla. Here is my unbiased review of the product.
Overview: Highlighted items are reason for my purchase.Stunningly gorgeous 100% mechanical mod, well built with smooth thread action and perfect heft in the hand. Made with pride by leading PV manufacturer, L-rider.
You can use 18350, 18500 and 18650 batteries with this mod. The mini manual that comes with it insists you must use a protected battery but they say that mainly as this would have no short circuit protection as it has no PCB board (as with all mechanical mods). For complete safety you can install a Vapesafe (available at GotVapes) if you use standard IMR batteries.
FEATURES:
Review:
Ok I don't really know where to start with this but I'll start with the Good.
1. Nice finish. Very pretty mod.
2. Top button. What I am used to and prefer. Button moves smoothly and works out of the box. However its very difficult to get the switch out if adjustment is needed.
3. Will fit 18650 nicely. It will also fit in the larger panasonic 18650s without problem.
4. Nicely machined and threads work perfect. 510 connection works great.
The OK but not bad.

1. Mine didnt fit 18350 out of the box. It rattled around. The bottom spring would have to be stretched out for one to fit. The spring seems kind of tough and I didnt want to tug on and it get it out of shape.
2. The airflow feature sounds like a good idea and the mechanism works correctly. However for me. I could only tell the difference between open and shut. Nothing in between.
Ok now the bad.

The corolla is NOT 100% mechanical. I found this out on this forum so I take no credit for the discovery but it has wire that connects the switch to the center post. Major no no. It seems to be about 32 gauge wire. Which wont hold much current before it pops. I've seen 2 on this forum that have broken.
So I contacted the vendor I bought this from to warn them and see what they had to say. They said they would check on it. After a few more emails back and forth I got an answer very similar to this.
"all Mechanical's have a safety link in the top for protection" and went on to tell me that "the wires are doing their job if the are breaking on people. The 32awg wires will only hold about 3amps of current. etc etc". So I was told the wires in the switch are basically a fuse to prevent a battery from blowing up in my face. Well if its got solder joints and wire its not 100% mechanical. Enough said about this.
If I wanted to buy a mod with wires in it. I would have bought a bolt. I bout this specifically for RBAs and now have to use it with carto tanks with the fear of the wires breaking.
To me this is a big deal. Especially with false advertisement. However I'm not reviewing the vendor. I'm reviewing the mod.
So I would give this a 3 out of 10. Only because of it being sold as 100% mechanical when it isnt. Not to mention it being doubtful that its chrome platted copper.
So if you arent building RBAs and would like a simple mod to push cartos or tanks this may be for you but if you are into RBAs this def isnt for you!
