It's not that I've spent too much time on this fabulous forum the last 3 days, it's that I got so excited about this whole vaping thing I couldn't help but tell my wife every time I found something new and exciting. Just ordered my first starter kit yesterday and the next thing I knew she asked me what kind I ordered her lol. I'm getting the Riva 510 and she liked the Joye 510 so guess what. Anyone care to share with me if the parts are interchangeable on these two or any other 510? There's a booth at the local flea market that sells some stuff, probably waaay to expensive but at least I'll have a local supply of atty's and stuff if they'll fit either one of ours in case of runouts or emergencies. I smoke about 1 min to 2 max packs of analogs a day (actually a pouch I roll myself) and wonder how many loaded carts or cartos I need to take with me if I'm going to be gone most of the day. I'm convinced that once my order gets here I'm going to be able to put the analogs down instantly. My thinking is that the cleaning and fiddling with carts and cartos can't take any more of my day than rolling 20 to 40 analogs. Thanx for all your help.

I'm not even going to tell you what I spent the first month! Someone else on this forum said it- You used to have a habit, now you have a hobby! So true.

I was a roller myself and I don't miss it at all. I do believe that the 510's are interchangeable, but maybe someone here that's more experienced can tell you.

Best of luck! Post when you get you kits and let us know how you're doing!

Riva 510 battery has the same threads as a standard 510 battery which has the same threads as a Mega 510 battery which has the same threads as an eGo which has the same threads as a Hello016.

So, the same atomizers and cartomizers that fit one will fit the other.

Putting them on the same charger may not be a good idea, but other than that, you are good to go.

In other words a 510 is a 510 is a 510? Great info. Each comes with it's own charger and I am pretty familiar with Ni Cad, NIMH, and Lithium batteries after 26 years of flying RC model airplanes. I've seen a lithium polimer battery blow from an intentional overcharge and it wouldn't be a pretty sight in the bedroom. Thanks for your reply Hoosier.

If it will get my wife and myself off cigarretes I'd never be able to put a price on that knobbysmoo. She has C.O.P.D. and had problems with anesthesia from surgery last year. Even so this is the first time she has ever expressed much interest in stopping. Thanks for your reply and encouragement.

My Mom has COPD, smoked for 55+ years and never thought she could quit. Didn't really want to.

She did better than I did. I think she had about 3-4 cigs the first week and that was it.

The key is finding the right juice!

Do yourself a favor and cut up your credit cards, haha. There are so many cool toys and gadgets out there, before you know it your desk becomes full of different PVs, and entire shelf unit full of every brand of cartomizer and atomizer out there, and a kitchen table full of 50+ flavors for DIY.

Its worse when its a duo, both the wife and husband going to town with it all. Fun though !

Riva charger is for Riva only, not slim 510 batteries (can fry them)
Low resistance (LR) attys and cartos are for Riva/Ego only, the extra power draw can kill 510 batteries
Tanks atty with tanks is meant for Ego/Riva - not sure about 510

Standard resistance 510 attys + carts, cartos can be used on either 510 or Riva

If you have manual batteries you can use a 510 drip tip on a 510 atty.

Joye 306 attys + 306 carts (or drip tip if you have manual batteries) - standard resistance can be used on either, LR can be used on Riva

And there are adapters that let you use KR808D1 cartos (510 to 808 adapter) or DSE901 atty (510 to 901) and others.

510 mega xl batteries are for 510. Riva or Ego batteries can also be use on 510 (but should use their own charger for faster charge)

And there are PCCs for each battery size/type. One place VaporKings.comn has a 510 mega PCC with an adapter to let you charge a short 510 battery too.

I got the Virginia, 555, and Casablanca.

My mom is in love with Casablanca. Of the three, 555 is the richer flavor. Virginia is like a very smooth tobacco.

In non-tobacco, the watermelon and peach are very good. I've also tried the menthol but it's a little too smooth for me. I like a little more kick in a menthol.

Slow down. All these vendors usually deliver in 3-4 days. Order 2 weeks supply of juice until you know what you like and what strength you need, then go crazy with the e-juice flavors. Taste is so subjective and vapor nicotine tolerance varies too. The way you vape might not be the way you smoked. Mentol smokers don't always like menthol ejuice, nonmenthol smokers can love menthol e-juice.

I always take 3-4 cartos with me per day as an ex 1.5PAD and keep some old prefilleds in my glove compartment for emergencies. As soon as they get even a little dry I move on to the next and refill them all when I get home. Burnt cartomizers have to be thrown out and taste nasty, so I never risk it.
