cotton from pill bottle

was wondering can I use the cotton from a medicine bottle to recoil ? Thanks.

If you burn a bit and it turns to gray ash, most likely cotton, if it melts and smells funny, maybe plastic...
Cotton Q-tips are a pretty safe bet.

I'd be worried that they might have residue from whatever medicine was in the bottle. And THAT isn't something you want to be vaping...

Q-Tips or cotton balls are much better choices.

I use qtips when I want to use cotton.
