Cotton - rebuildables

I'm looking for a cheap source for cotton to be used in rebuildables - what kinds do most people use (cotton balls from your local pharmacist?). When buying it, apart from avoiding obvious toxins, etc - what does one look for when buying it?

My second question was whether cotton can be used in dripping atomizers? I was wondering if by adding cotton, one could add more liquid. But I'm not sure if it works ok?

I use the sterile hypoallergenic cotton balls from CVS--the box costs something like $3. Works nicely I'm sure you can use it in drippers. I personally haven't but there are plenty of members that are. The micro coil thread in the Reos mods subforum might be a good source of info.

Yes, you can get cheap cotton from local pharmacies.

The main thing is that its 100% cotton.
I'd recommend either sterile rolled cotton or sterile cotton balls, you can also go for organic cotton balls as well.

I like the sterile because its sealed so no odor can get transferred to the cotton. Sometimes the plastic bags of cotton will get holes in them and the cotton picks up some funk from the store and it transfers the taste to your juice.


As for adding it to a dripper, do you mean a disposable 510 dripper? If so, I'm not sure.
If you mean an RDA, then yes. I use strictly cotton in my RDAs.

Get the sterile rolled cotton for the first aid section of CVS or RiteAid. Not the stuff in the beauty section.

The sterile will help you avoid tasting the cotton, or rather the stuff they use to process typical cotton balls. A $6 box will literally last a lifetime.
