Cotton stuck around center post

Just as the title says I have cotton stuck around my center post that I cannot get out. Happened to my old rda as well. Doesn't affect the functionality I just hate going to rewick and see this gross old cotton. Why does this happen? Is it bad? How do I prevent myself from doing this again?

I don't think you are removing all the cotton, that is why some is left. Try to pull it all out when your removing it to begin with. That might help!

doesn't happen to my veritas or magma.

I suppose that sort of thing happens with the plain ole 3-posts-in-a-row common rda's


also, maybe it's time you get another rda; not to replace, I mean a second rda; one to use while the other one is soaking/wicking/recoiling.
