So ive just started changing the wick to cotton in my Kanger dual coil. I did it without changing the coil, just the wick.

Did everything as suppose to, it looked brand new. Now the taste is awesome, great vape.

After vaping for about 6 hrs, I noticed after flipping the mod upside down, a black liquid substance started to ooze out from the coil. Turning my tank all black. It was disgusting.

So I decided to empty the tank, wash it, change the coil.

My question is

1. has anyone experience that? Even if that was caramelized liquid, is that safe?

2. How long should I change a re-wick cotton in a kanger coil?

Im using evic with aerotank. Liquid is sweet irishcream ... very sweet.

When you changed the wicks, did you remove the wicks from both coils and flavor wick, and dry burn the coils?
My guess would be the black stuff you see oozing out is from dirty coils that were not cleaned when you changed the wicks.

Ah ok. I think youre right. When I remove the old wick, I think I might have left out a few strands of the fine ones. I did dry burn both coils, its fine now. Thank you
