How long / short do you all make your single micro coil wicks (my coil is 1-1.1 ohms) Do you build the wick as big as you can to fit in the rba cap; or , do you build the wick to only slightly pass the length of the coil?

I'm still trying to figure this one out myself.
I'm using a Nimbus in single coil mode and run my wick through the coil and around the outer posts until they just about meet on the back side. What I get then is the backside of the wick is still wet but thru the coil it dries out.
Tried using just enough wick to go through the coil and touch the atty deck. Does ok but more prone to leaking out of the air holes and I have to re-drip more often.

it will be different for every device. the best way to figure it out is trial and error as the amount of cotton is purely subjective
on the igoW at least, I find that less is more. Tons of cotton can hold your juice real tidy, but wastes some the way a carto does. I prefer a small tail beyond the coil, with juice pooling directly on the deck/pool of the dripper.
I use a fair amount of cotton in my Igo-L, I don't usually use it JUST as a juice tester so I thread the cotton through and wrap it around the posts. Just don't use so much that it will choke off the airflow.

What is the resistance of this build? It looks crazy low.
It's runs around 0.34 to 0.38 ohms. Seems to vary day to day. I check every day before I use it.
It's a quad coil 1-2 wrap with 4-32 gauge twisted wire

Here's another one with dual horizontal single twisted 32 gauge. It's my every day atty. It also has cotton but it's braided cotton rope.

I'm excited as a tick on a greyhound w/ my 0.6 ohm quad.
Can't bring myself to destroy that quad build w/o a good reason.
What differences I might notice w/ a 0.34 vs 0.6 ohm quad?
My quad .3 ohm build heats the juice instantly to the point where I only use about a two to three second pulse, and it continues to vaporize the juice for another second or two for about a 5 second hit total. My wife has the same atty with the same build except its a dual 3-4 coil that acts the same way @ 0.6 ohms. The twisted wire seems to help with wick contact

P.S. You need a really good wick for fast juice delivery for this build or you'll just get burned hits. Tune it right and there's nothing better for BIG flavor.
